Mission: Youth empowerment project engages underserved young people through community-based education, mentoring and employment readiness programs to help them develop skills and strengthen ties to family and community.
Programs: In fiscal year 2017:86% of work & learn graduates were connected to workforce development opportunities or formal external employment. 87% of yep educates participants improved two grade levels during fy 2017, as compared to only 39% of adult learners who made the same gains nationally. Yep mentors served 229 youth and 89% of youth referred by the office of juvenile justice did not have further involvement in the justice system during their program participation.
