I have been involved with YPFP for several years in a volunteer capacity helping young professionals enhance their writing and analytical skills. The organization provides a wonderful platform new and developing professionals in the DC area to network and engage with one another on substantive issues. It also serves as a valuable resource for those who hope to engage in foreign policy professionally but may not have the opportunity to do so at their current jobs. YPFP is an extremely helpful organization for emerging professionals in a field that can be difficult to break into. Staff are welcoming and collegial, and I look forward to continuing to volunteer.

YPFP consistently delivers excellent programming and valuable networking opportunities to its community, helping to shape the next generation of global leaders—and in a more accessible fashion than is typical of the foreign policy field. Great mission, great people.

As a newly graduated young person trying to figure out her life, YPFP has taken me under their wing in teaching me the ins and outs of the nonprofit world. Although I have only been with them for a short time, I have already learned so much and know that once my time with them is over, I will be much more experienced, knowledgeable, and ready to take on any task!

YPFP has been a very impactful part of my life over the past few years. I have been able to connect with like-minded and intelligent individuals, chat about foreign policy in a constructive and meaningful way, and participate in many impactful and engaging events. During the pandemic shutdowns, it was especially helpful in staying in touch with others as YPFP switched to virtual programs in order to keep the members connected. It has been an amazing experience and highly recommend this to anyone interested in foreign policy & politics or just want to expand their network.

YPFP has helped me in launching my career and executing real-world programs to aid in my leadership development. The network and community I have built using YPFP has propelled me into new professional challenges and allowed me to grow and build the leaders that tomorrow needs. As a volunteer-run organization, I am constantly impressed by the high caliber of leadership and execution from this organization with programming that is second to none in the DC area.

This sounds like an interesting organization. Id like to learn more about them. Are there chapters across the United States? How young are we talking? More in formation would be greatly appreciated.
