Young Mens Christian Association

Programs: Child care program - serves the community by promoting strong kids and families. Activities include after school pick up of children at over 20 schools, day care, infant care, character development activities and extended care. Child care serves over 450 children and families by providing a safe, caring environment while parents pursue education and/or careers.

sports program - sports program includes sports and youth development activities for participants from 3 years of age to adults. Designed to increase physical activity, build caracter, team building and life skills. Program serves over 3,000 participants and involves over 1,500 volunteers in various capacities.

health and wellness program - the health and wellness program incorporates all areas of fitness activities to include gym, pool, weight equipment, aerobic and dance activities. The wellness program encourages youth and adults to develop new skills, make new friends, grow in self-esteem and have fun through participation in challenging activities. All wellness activities are open to everyone regardless of age, religion, and income. Wellness programs serve over 3,500 participants.

teen program - structured to develop healthy mind, body, and spirit for community teens. Programs focus on character developement with activities in areas of finess, recreational sports, arts, youth in government, and dance. Group interactions encourage positive leadership, values and lifesyle habits. Programs serve over 500 participants. Arts and humanities - to enrich the mind, body and spirit of the community by providing opportunities to discover inner possibilities and to develop a chosen craft within the creative arts.
