Mission: Young Ladies With Potential Inc. was founded in 1994 as the name indicates this organization embodies, successful business professionals, artist, community advisors and parent volunteers. It all began when the teenage girl community was falling victim to pregnancy, violence, and other destructive activites. Due to the lack of positive reinforcement, community awareness and parent motivation. Young Ladies With Potential Inc. and its advisors decided face the the issue that plaqued the teen community head on.Y.L.W.P Inc address mulit-cultural & teen issues through video and peer discussions group with the young ladies. We teach our member to empower their communities, Y.L.W.P Inc set up study centers in the inter-cities help restore local community parks, rejuvenate abandon neighborhood lots, grow fruits and vegetables for soup kitchen and homeless shelter. Bi-monthly Y.L.W.P Inc members prepare home cooked meals for single or expecting mother and senior citizens. Our members also provide companionship for and assistance to residents in nursing homes, children in trauma centers, adults with disabilities, families in homeless shelters, and hospice AIDS/HIV and cancer patients and survivors. Young Ladies With Potential Inc understands the purpose/ importance of what's required to obtain a goal. Some teen have limited resources/ knowledge which hamper their ability to set organized objectives. Advisors @ Young Ladies With Potential Inc has tries to eliminate the stereotypes that foster low self-esteem in young ladies by boarding their horizons and helping them achieve their expectations. Y.L.W.P Inc not only gives them a second chance but a oppurtunity to become productive citizen and prominent women.
