Causes: Health, Health Care
Mission: Through prevention, education, family support and access to healthcare services, Young & Healthy protects and improves the physical and mental health of uninsured and underserved children and their families in the greater Pasadena area.
Results: Over $23,000,000 in donated healthcare services since 1990. 28,935+ children and families served over 30 years. 367 healthcare professional volunteers serve our organization. We provided Trauma Informed Care to 3,750 individuals last year. $129,683 volunteer hours were donated last year, alone.
Target demographics: provide healthcare services to underserved kids and support for their families
Direct beneficiaries per year: 1,216 kids and 577 adults and provided $889,088 worth of donated services.
Geographic areas served: the greater Pasadena, CA area (Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena & Sierra Madre)
Programs: direct healthcare referrals for medical, dental and mental health services, dental & parent education, Trauma Informed Care education at the parent, professional and student levels, case management, and healthcare insurance support...just to name a few.
