YASU was an incredible support system to us when my dearest friend David was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 22. They helped his family and I to find appropriate resources and counseling, and treated us with the utmost kindness and compassion. These are people who truly understand what it is like to battle cancer as a young adult. The outings and events that YASU hosts to bring survivors together are incredible. The whole group made us all feel welcomed and helped David to feel normal when everything else about his life wasn't. They are there for you in all the right ways during the darkest moments of your life, and they support you in ways you didn't even know you needed.
