Mission: York's Helping Hand for the Homeless, Inc. started to provide hot meals on the weekend to the homeless in 1985, because the soup kitchens were not open on the weekend. In 1985 10-20 people came to be feed. In 2000, YHHH feeds an average 250-300 servings per Sat & Sun night. YHHH provide a non-denominational coordination place for churches and civic groups to feed the hungry. All funds donated remain within the county of the donation. Our purpose is to take a Homeless person from "Homeless to Home" in teaching homeless how to help themselves.
