I have quite the child who I thought would never change. 14 years old and quite the sassy, overdramatic teenager. She would never take accountability for her actions. never. She would lie to wiggle her way out of situations she should have taken accountability for. She was terrible at keeping up with her classes and doing her homework on time. Getting her to actually focus in was near impossible. She had her own ideas and own ways. She of course like all teenagers, thought she knew it all. What does mom know, right? I had tried pretty much everything to get her back on track. A friend of mine told me about Yokid. I visited the website and it looked almost too good to be true. But I tried it anyway and oh my goodness!!! Improvement, improvement, improvement! Now I'm not saying one class is going to fix all your problems. It does take time. It is a process. But it helps. It is 100% worth it. Teaches them more than you'd think. Helps them calm themselves, focus in, be insightful, think of others and so much more. At first when I told her about this she completely rejected the idea. But I made her go anyway. She had a wall up toward it at first but soon actually started loving it and that's when the change started. It's an amazing organization. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOKID!
It is so amazing to be apart of a community that has Yokid in it! Yokid should be in every community all over the world. It is proven to work wonders. It truly lives up to what impact it is said to have on children.
The minute I heard about Yokid I fell in love. The goal of Yokid is unique and inspiring. I knew I wanted to get involved but I didn't know how. I checked the website and saw multiple ways to volunteer and get involved. What I really wanted to volunteer my time doing though was actually teaching one of the classes. Now to me, this was kind of a crazy thought since I had no background in yoga and didn't know much. Thankfully they did offer 20 hours of training! They only have sign up seasonally so when the time came around I signed up, started classes, and began learning! In the begging I thought becoming a teacher for Yokid was kind of out of reach and more of a dream. I was wrong! Their trainings were filled with information, I leaned so much. It was easier than I thought. So if you want to be a teacher don't let the "no background in yoga" thoughts stand in your way!!!!
Such an amazing organization. Love how involved it is with our community and how involved our community is. What Yokid is doing for these children leaves me speechless. It is so amazing. Yokid is a blessing to many. When I hear the success stories from those who have tried Yokid classes it drives me and the rest of the community to raise more money for them and think up new fundraisers to help them. We love you Yokid :)
Seeing what Yokid does is so inspiring to me. It made me want to volunteer and help out however I could. I can truthfully say, there is no other way I'd rather be spending my free time. When you see what inner peace and confidence Yokid can give a child it makes it all worth it. That is what is so rewarding bout volunteering here. I love this place! Love the other volunteers and the children. When you enter Yokid you can feel the love and passion in the air. The environment is so warm, welcoming and positive.
Seeing what impact Yokid has had on the kids in my community is simply outstanding. kids have it a lot harder than we did when we were kids. With so much going on in this world, in schools, and so forth. Kids are becoming more driven to learn all thanks to Yokid. I don't have children myself but if I did they'd definitely be signed up! However, I do recommend every child I know to join Yokid classes. Keep up the good work!!
Yokid is nothing short of AMAZING. These yoga classes have given my daughters confidence. Not only in themselves but also confidence in achieving all their dreams. Believing in themselves. Dreaming big but believing it's in reach if they put their minds to it. I think every child should go to at least on Yokid class. I wish I would have had this as a child!!
Yokid has given me a whole new child it seems. I used to have to fight with my son to go to school and actually be engaged in his classes. He was a C student and I knew he could do much better than that. His teacher recommend Yokid. Honestly, I thought it was ridiculous. But I was at such a desperate level I tried it anyway. Within a few sessions I saw improvement. Mornings weren't such an argument to get him to go to school.. Few more sessions, his grades were rising.. He was actually engaged and interested. He wanted to learn. He was finally more focused in. I was shocked!! Our family loves Yokid and could never thank them enough. Such an amazing organization.
I decided to sign up to be a volunteer with Yokid a couple of months ago. I can honestly say that was the best decision I could have made. The whole environment of Yokid is positive and uplifting. I love seeing the impact these yoga sessions have on the kids as well as even myself! This is an amazing nonprofit that I believe will go far. I highly recommend anyone to sign up their child and even look into volunteering here!
