Mission: The YMCA of Greene County understands the important role that the family plays in today's society. The YMCA first began supporting the healthy development of Greene County families back in 1867. The YMCA of Greene County remains dedicated to building strong kids and families and to reinforcing the values that form the foundation of a strong community ? caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Our programs touch people from all walks of life, but often those who benefit the most from our services are those with the least ability to pay. That is why supporting low income families is such a priority to the YMCA. YMCA programs are for all people of all walks of life, old and young, experienced and still learning, as well as healthy and those yet to reach their wellness goals. The YMCA of Greene County is a place where we can all gather in a supportive environment to build healthy habits.
