I became aware of Yesha Ministries in July of 2011 through my home church, Creekside Christian Church in Saint Johns, Florida. there was an announcement in our bulletin about a demonstration and that Tae Kwon Do classes were starting at our church. I have been involved in the Martial Arts for over 25 years and had not been training recently. this peaked my interest and I went to the demonstration. I immediately wanted to start training with this organization because they blended Christian values with a good Tae Kwon Do program. As a 3rd Degree black belt I felt that if this ministry turned out to be what it looked like, I wanted to become a volunteer and start helping out. I started training under Master Larry Wang and met the founder, Grandmaster Chuck Coker. I was impressed with the founder's heart for the ministry and his dedication to developing students and teaching them life skills as well as self defense. Master Wang allowed me to take the reins in the first quarter of 2012 and I have been the Senior Instructor at the Creekside church program ever since.
It has been a blessing to be a part of this ministry and we are changing lives. We request the use of the facilities of 17 churches so that we can offer professional training free of monthly charges. Many people who would like to learn martial arts do not due to the typical high cost of training. We are a volunteer driven organization and this allows us to reach many people who may otherwise not have the opportunity to benefit from a good Martial Arts program. We develop our students and instructors Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically. God loves us all and through our program we are able to share the love of Christ and teach our students to better defend themselves physically and mentally. I recommend the Yesha Ministries Life skills program to anyone who wants themselves or their family members to improve their self esteem and become more physically fit. James Charles Lamoureux, 4th Dan Black Belt and Senior Instructor of the Yesha Ministries Creekside School.
