Yerwood provided career & workforce development training to stamford public school district's arts alternative program, west hill and stamford high schools; the town of greenwich department of social services and greenwich high school. Yerwood center is contracted by the city of stamford's community development office, town of greenwich community development block grant office and the workplace, inc. (bridgeport) workforce development board to provide career exploration training to high school teens. Licensed by the city of stamford and ct department of health; member of the ct state afterschool network and the association of nonprofits. yes (yerwood educational summer) camp (k-8): eight weeks summer camp provides academic enrichment, field trips, component for english language learners, community service, recreation, arts and crafts, theater arts and career speakers to over 358 low-income children. Junior leaders middle school articulation program (6-8): academic enrichment, conflict resolution, leadership development, and career exploration. Middle school summer program for 75 youth educationally at-risk rising 6the grades, featuring academic reinforcement, middle school visits, and guest speakers.
