I regularly request grant funding from this organization on behalf of my teen clients. Yavapai CASA for Kids staff and board members are professional and very caring. They also provide clothing and shoes to supplement DCS clothing allowances. Also, C4K provides DCS case specialists and foster parents with holiday gifts for kids of all ages. My ability to support my young clients would be sorely lacking if I could not rely on C4K as a community partner. Thank you!

Year-round, CASA for Kids is my go-to funding source for my clients' needs. This agency provides much-needed assistance in most areas. CASA for Kids also provides the county's foster kids with Christmas gifts that they might not otherwise receive. As a professional supporting this population, I am deeply grateful to this dedicated and hardworking organization. They are so deserving of recognition as a great non-profit organization.

They have helped countless clients of mine in both the biggest and smallest of ways: from emergency clothing for a little boy's first days in foster care, to a therapy for a teenager not covered by insurance. A chance for a young lady to see another country, and specialized training for a therapy dog. We couldn't survive in this business, nor could our kiddos get their needs met, without Yavapai Casa for Kids!

I am proud to be part of this organization. Knowing that we are helping foster children to have as close to a normal childhood as possible. Being a foster kid is Tough Enough!

What a blessing Yavapai Casa for kids has been to foster children. I've been able to see, over the past year volunteering, the good that they do. I too was a foster child and it warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes to see the generosity of our community come together for these children. What a wonderful organization!

Yavapai CASA for Kids is a wonderful nonprofit. As a former volunteer I know how hard this organization works to train, mentor, and support their volunteer team. I'm proud to have this organization serving children in my community.

Being the grandparent of a child I watched transition from foster care through adoption, I know first hand the quality of care she received. The number of successful fundraisers and donations is commendable as the tangible needs of these kids are met in every way. But what impresses me the most is the continued after care and counseling these children receive..I believe it's what is giving them their best chance to flourish..And finally, the quality and success can be attributed to the tireless efforts of the board and its volunteers..They are able to incite participation from the entire community as a donor, a participant and even a foster parent. I am forever grateful for this organization as they continue their efforts to help my granddaughter even six years later..

As a CASA for teen youth in foster care, I have gone to YC4KF many times for funds to get my kids into things like karate and swimming lessons. One girl was so grateful for her beautiful senior prom dress she cried when she saw herself in it. Computers, calculators and shoes are among the favorite things I have obtained for my CASA kids.
As a YC4KF Board member, I am proud to work on the Holiday Gift Drive when we gather donated items from around the quad-city area and then open the doors for CASAs, foster parents, DCS case managers and others to select gifts for their special kids in out of home care. We love watching the smiles as they imagine the grins on their foster kids faces on holiday morning.

I just started as one of the newest board members for Yavapai Casa for Kids Foundation and I am so impressed with what this foundation is doing in terms of supporting over 400 plus children currently in the foster care system here in Yavapai County. They help foster kids with clothing twice a year with gift cards. As a parent I know myself how expensive clothes and shoes can be and as a foster parent they are given very little funds by the state per each child and this is where this great foundation is trying to help our children in the community and help support those wonderful parents who have taken upon themselves to care for kids from broken homes. They also pay through grant money classes where foster kids get an opportunity to go to camp and other things maybe for the very first time in their life. This foundation is such a gift for our community and the board spends tireless hours in raising funds but also awareness for their cause and it is a pleasure to have joined their board to help them with achieving their goals.

I see first hand what this organization does for the community and more important for
the children. I personally know Jennifer Whittemore and I see how much hard work and
effort she puts into making this service top notch...Not only does she organize, manage, and recruit,,she is a motivator..and this is part of what makes CASA such a good organization in Prescott. They are always ready and prepared to foster, nurture and give these kids what
ever they need. I will always donate whatever I can to keep this much needed service strong and active..

I have been a CASA for 8 years and have been involved in 9 cases with 19 children. Here are just few requests that Casa for Kids has helped with: new clothes for a 10 yr old that had only worn 'hand-me-downs', new bunk beds including bedding for a family of four children that were sleeping with dirty, old blankets on the floor, car seats for little ones so that the CASA could transport them for sibling visits, gifts cards for all the children for birthdays. One little boy bought a new baseball cap and sunglasses that he insisted on wearing to bed the first week. Backpacks for the beginning of school every August stuffed with school supplies. The list goes on and on. C4K in our area is so well known for it's dedication to helping the kids and families that are struggling with the dependency system. Thank you, we rely on your continued care and support.

Yavapai Casa for kids does so much for the boys and girls CPS has to take into custody. The simple things like tooth brushes, makes a kids eyes light up. Many of our children leave home with the clothes on their backs and no personal items at all. When they receive a backpack they have one change of clothes, toiletries, a coloring book, a bible, and some come with a little card in it that makes them feel special that someone out there thought of them. The gift cards that are provided are such an amazing help to the kids and often kinship care. Often extended family will step up to take the kids in their homes, but they do not have clothes and/or beds set up for children in their homes. The gift cards and grants that we receive through the foundation, helps us keep those families together and provide for the children. Thank you for all that you do, we appreciate you more than you know.

I work in the DCS office. When I first started in the field we had limited funding or donations to work with. Since then CASA for Kids has donated gift cards for emergency clothing and celebration cards to the children on removals. It has made such a difference and put so many smiles on the children's faces. For some of them this is the fist time they have gotten something that is Theirs and is brand new. CASA is such a wonderful organization and I hope to have continued success with them. It even brightens the day of the workers in the office to see the children so happy.

The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is operated by a Board of Directors comprised of dedicated, experienced and committed volunteers and supported by just one part-time, very talented staff member. As a donor I am confident that my contributions are always used in support of the mission-driven activities and programs offered by the Foundation to meet the needs of children in foster care throughout the quad-cities area of Prescott, Arizona.

The Yavapai County CASA program is very active and well appreciated in this region. Part of its success is due to access to the resources provided by the Yavapai Casa for Kids Foundation. With more than 6 years as part of the baby CASA team here, I have seen first hand how responsive the Foundation is when an urgent need is identified by a member of a CASA team. One notable characteristic of the Foundation is how quickly they make decisions based on a set of criteria established by the Board.

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation has provided wonderful Christmas gifts for three kiddos. The selection was terrific and the kiddos were thrilled with their gifts. Additionally, the foundation has approved two grants for sport's uniforms & equipment and for registration for a summer sport's camp. This kiddo is super excited to be on a sport's team and have the opportunity to improve his skills over the summer. Thank you for all your help in making life a little brighter for these little kiddos.

As a long time CASA volunteer, the Grant committee has funded numerous requests for my kids. Our children in care in Yavapai County have so many needs and the CASA for Kids Foundation is always ready to help.

I joined the board (all volunteer) as treasure two years ago. It is a hard working board. We and our many friends help so many kids that are in foster care in our community. I am very proud to be a part of Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation and I know our mission is one that is greatly appreciated and needed.

As an employee with the CASA office in Yavapai County, we see so many needs with the children that come into care. The state can only offer so much to meet those needs and Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation graciously and willingly fills in the missing pieces. Whether is it a grant for clothing because a child was removed from their home with only the clothes they were wearing, or a computer for a child with learning disabilities, the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation considers every need! If they are unable to help, they provide additional resources to help get that need met. Everyone on the board is great to work with, always available to answer questions, and over and over again, they show how dedicated they are to the dependent children in Yavapai County. THANK YOU C4K for making a difference!! The CASA office appreciates all of you.

As a member of Yavapai CASA For Kids Foundation for over 5 years now, I am passionate about this organization and the work we do. We support foster children in Yavapai County but providing grants for their unmeet needs we also provide a gift card for clothing for each child once a year with our annual supplemental clothing card project. And don't forget about our Christmas Drive. We are also a Designated Qualified Foster Care Tax Credit Organization in Arizona. We have started a Fundraiser called Costumes for Kids and have many families and foster families come out in October in costumes to support the organization, get exercise and enjoy family friendly activities. To learn more about us LIKE us on Facebook or visit our website at YavapaiCASAForKids.org.
