Mission: Yampatika's mission is to inspire environmental stewardship through education. They fulfil that mission by developing environmental learning opportunities that serve the children and adults of northwest colorado.
Programs: Yampatikas main goal is to develop environmental learning opportunities that serve the children and adults of northwest colorado. The goals of educational programs are to: make environmental education universally accessible through the environmental learning center (elc) at legacy ranch; create a demonstration site at the elc where people can learn about the history, societal significance and practical aspects of sustainable living; continue to implement a model k-5 environmental literacy program in our service area; continue to work at the local, state and national level to have environmental literacy included in school curriculum; continue to offer high-quality adult education programs in partnership with area land management agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses; and continue the expansion of our programs for low and moderate income, special needs and at-risk youth.
