Mission: The club's mission includes providing an organization through which alumni of yale and residents of the greater hartford areas may contribute to the welfare of yale university; facilitating, initiating, sponsoring and participating in programs and projects aimed at developing and maintaining mutual understanding between yale, its alumni and residents of the greater hartford area; participating in the raising of funds for the benefit of yale; participating in the raising of funds in order to establish and award scholarships for the benefit of students who are residents of or attended secondary schools in greater hartford, and encouraging the enrollment of qualified students in yale. The yale club and scholarship foundation of hartford, inc. (the club) was incorporated as a connecticut nonstock corporation in 1952; formalizing a club that was founded in 1885. In 1980, the club and its scholarship foundation merged to form the current organization. .
Programs: Funds paid directly to yale university for its general scholarship fund. The university provides need-blind support to all qualifying students, including those from the hartford area. $3,000. Two grants to the yale women's crew association and the yale basketball association. $200. Total $3,200.

The club held a theater event, an annual meeting with a yale faculty speaker, a post-election evnt, a sports luncheon and hockey game, and several other events and meetings.
