Mission: Wyoming untrapped is dedicated to creating a safe and humane environment for people, pets and wildlife through education and trapping regulation reform.
Programs: Education - wu works to educate citizens about the danger traps and snares pose to pets, people & wildlife. We do this through educational programs with local youth, internet & social media presence, workshops, public presentations, attendance at conferences and public outreach benefiting approx 800 people and innumerable animals.
wu has successfully advocated against the trapping of mtn lions in the legislature, requested & made available to the public trapping data from the wgfd, raised awareness for wild felids and canids at a community art event attended by approx 250 people.
reform-wu wants to promote an overall ethic of compassionate conservation of our wildlife. We advocate for non-lethal actions for predator management, protection of native species, changes to furbearer regulations and increased accountability for trappers submitting public comments on behalf of wildlife.
