I am deeply disappointed with my experience with WyomingCares. My son is currently on Wyoming Medicaid and has been battling a serious medical condition—a benign tumor in his head with a high regrowth rate. Despite the severity of his situation and our need for additional support, medicaid offers travel reimbursement of .26 cents a mile and because of that wyoming cares could not help. My funds are low I can't afford to pay
for additional things such as fuel, food, maintenance etc, plus being 100 miles from home 5 days a week and keep our home up and going, then wait for reimbursement!!

As a parent, it is heartbreaking to see my child endure such challenges while struggling to find organizations willing to provide assistance. I had hoped WyomingCares would be a resource we could turn to during this difficult time, but unfortunately, they were unwilling to offer any help simply because of Medicaid travel reimbursement of .26 cents per mile. This feels unfair and dismissive of families who are already facing overwhelming emotional and financial burdens.
I urge WyomingCares to reconsider their approach and policies to ensure they can truly live up to their mission of caring for those in need. Families like mine deserve compassion and support, especially when dealing with life-altering medical conditions.
