My daughter Alley went to one of the wrestle like a girl camps last year. She had a blast and couldn’t say enough good things about it. Uplifting these young girls and showing them the right way to do things. It’s a lot to take on but they are all doing amazing and making a difference. Being in a male dominated sport is not easy. Knowing you have many people behind you helps. My daughter may never end up being a big time wrestler but she has already gained so much from it.
Keep up the great work.

From an early age, I have been in love with sports. I tried my hand at many sports throughout the years, but my first love was wrestling. I choose stay involved because I believe that the sport of wrestling has the capability to teach life skills such as hard work, discipline, responsibility, resilience, and teamwork in ways not many other experiences in life can. As a young athlete, opportunities to train and compete were limited because of my gender. Wrestle Like A Girl advocates for young athletes like I once was. Their support looks to address all stakeholders in the sport process. Wrestle Like A Girl advocates for opportunities with educational institutions, educates administrators and coaches on benefits of the sport and how to recruit and maintain teams, and most importantly empowers the young athlete to feel strong, confident, and supported.

No one should be denied opportunity to do something they love and chase their dreams. Wrestle Like A Girl truly exists to support those opportunities.
