I was an employee and while their intentions are good I felt very isolated and shut out because of my race and background. Just a warning to those who do not "fit" within their company culture.
My family and I have been involved with this ministry that provides humanitarian help through building orphanages, providing clean water and just saving lives. We are amazed that they have administrative costs of a mere 3% yet can do so much. We sponsored a "Home of Hope" orphanage that will save the lives of 12 girls in subsaharan Africa. We are also sponsoring a young lady in Nepal on a monthly basis.

I have been personally involved with World Help when our began a relationship with them 5 years ago. We partnered with this faith-based organization in order to make a difference in the lives of people in Rwanda. I have personally been a member of two mission teams organized by World Help specifically for our church to go and serve in Rwanda. They have enabled us to build 8 homes for genocide survivors and students, dig a well for a school, put a roof on a church and provide scholarships for continued education. We have also forged relationships with friends there as we work with the same partners year after year. World Help's vision is to work with partners in various communities around the world in order to provide for needs and share the love of Christ. I also sponsor a child through World Help's sponsorship program and I receive updates and letters from her regularly. I would recommend World Help to anyone who is looking to help make a difference in the world. Check out the Operation Baby Rescue, Causelife, and Gifts of Hope programs as well! I have used the Gifts of Hope catalog for two years to give gifts at Christmas in honor of my family members. I have personally seen my gifts in place in Rwanda. It is a wonderful program!
My family has been a sponsor family for several years and love the work that World Help does for kids around the globe! We get our monthly donor information as well as photos and hand written letters from our sponsored child Jose, it touches our heart as we watch this young boy grow into man that we know has a solid foundation being firmly planted under his feet. We use sites like Charity navigator to investigate these groups before we join and to see that the President of the charity is taking a below normal paycheck home makes me exceptional happy with the choice we have made, if the president feels he can give more to the charity by taking less pay than that is an organization I feel great supporting!
