WES provided the worst experience ever! I've placed my order, payment fulfilled immediately, no service for almost a month, had to cancel through card brand to get full refund.They require your institution to send your documents. My institution does not have a printed envelop, so they stamped and bound my papers with cords to be as authentic as possible. The envelop was signed and stamped in the back where it was closed. the only thing they did not have was the printed envelop with school logo etc...my documents were declined, and no support was provided. multiple attempt to contact them, they were repeating the same thing: "it was not in the envelop form the school"! They can go by the book, however my documents were more authentic that a stupid envelop would have made them. it is sad, that a company like WES can block you to continue your studies in the US. very sad!
Do not go to WES to get your credential evaluated. They do not update your status and after waiting patiently for a month+, after several messages sent, they do not help you or get you an answer. After you call them to find out, the customer service rep is very pathetic that they are not empowered to help the customer. They are reading exactly the same thing on the website and the best they can say is to wait. I have patiently waited a month and more, and I explained that I needed the evaluation to get the application, and running against the deadline. The poor customer service team can only listen to customers' complaints and do nothing. The entire system is a failure. There are many other credential evaluation services to choose from. I thought WES has a good rating and the school I apply for recommended also. Unfortunately this is not the case. I am still struggling to get an update....
I was just about to go file a complaint onto BBB, and found out that WES is notorious with BBB, see the screen shot from BBB website. I should have done a better research before I paid and choose their service. According to BBB, they failed to respond to 73 complaints, and 8 failed to reach a resolution. They are absolutely horrible! They don't care about customers.

I am filing a formal complaint with New York City, and see if that will help. This organization is a serious fraud. Please beware do not choose them! My collage sent WES my credentials on Nov. 19 and it has been about two months, no updates and no way to get to anyone who can help!
I made an application with Wes that didn’t progress for three months. I then made an additional payment to QC to expedite the process, which actually worked and they confirmed receipt of my documents within a week of payment. However, out of frustration, I researched other service providers and went to the WES platform, selected the "QUESTION" category, and sent the following message: “Hi, I’d like to know what needs to be done to cancel my order. The status has been on hold for over 70 days, even after confirming with my institution that the documents have been uploaded to WES. I want to use another service provider.”
They ignored my question and focused solely on my interest in canceling. First, I asked a question under the "QUESTION" category. Secondly, a proper organization would reach out to its customers to resolve disputes or at least ask if I wanted to cancel my order. None of this was done; they did not reach out to me but proceeded to cancel my order, despite my having paid extra for expedited processing. After waiting for three months, they still deducted processing fees before refunding.
I reached out for my order to be reinstated but I was told I have to make another application. 3 months went to waste, Qc payment went to waste and their sole concern was the processing fee.
This is not only disgraceful and shameful but also an example of poor customer service at its finest.

I recently had a frustrating experience with WES regarding my Permanent Residency (PR) application. I received an email stating that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) couldn't verify my ECA report because I hadn't ordered a copy of my evaluation report for them and added their office as a recipient. The email advised that this step was crucial for OINP to process my application and instructed me to order a duplicate report from their website and designate OINP as a recipient.
This oversight has caused a significant delay in my PR processing, extending the timeline by an entire month. It seems that WES made an error by mentioning OINP instead of IRCC in their communications, which led to this problem. The additional costs for sending a copy to IRCC and the overall service quality have been disappointing. Given the high fees for credential evaluations, I expected more reliable and efficient service. Unfortunately, this experience has made me feel that WES is not delivering value for the money paid, and it reflects poorly on their organization.
I have a University program that I would like to apply, their deadline is on September 1st. And the only reason I hired WES is because it is stated on their website that their evaluation takes 7 business day. Paid more than U$300 for an application for evaluation of my transcript 3 weeks ago on April 25th. Also paid U$50 for Qualification Check, and they verified all my documents on the same day on the 25th. Tried to send an email to WES, but there is no email contact. Tried to send a message last week, no return. Tried to call, they say they are busy. After trying a thousand times I got in contact with one of them who hang up while I was talking. Tried another thousand times and guess what? They could not give me any information. This is such a terrible experience. No assistance whatsoever. Really bad business practice. I do not recommend WES.
WES has false advertising on the amount of time they process your documents. I myself, and many other people by what I've read, have waited over two months for documents that were advertised to be processed in seven business days. I'd recommend literally any other proivder, don't waste your time and money.
Worst service ever. 35 days ? What a joke… 3 months in and no update at all. They received my files on 4/22, no update since. “in progress” and customer services “escalated” it 3 weeks ago. No news ever since.

As applicants, we paid a good amount of money (500 USD) to get the evaluation within 7 business days as the company promised on their website.
In exchange, we get no accountability, no documents, and customer service reps who lie constantly or avoid communication whatsoever! What a fraudulent enterprise.
Terrible, uncaring and a nonchalant organisation that is clueless. They destroy people’s dreams with their poor service. Advertise 7 day turnaround and nothing for months. Deadlines for submitting to schools gone because WES took too long. Asking for a diploma already sent by my UK university to them along with my bachelors on the same university email. They accept the bachelor but not the diploma even though I took both with the same university. I should have read all these before paying. They should be shut down and they are disgracing America if the US continues to have them exist.
They will take their time, meaning they do not care about their costumers need, and extend the time as much as they can instead of just processing the document even if they have them on their system. Then, explain it as its part of the process. They are careless for their costumer service and getting things done properly. The document transfer from one WES account to another WES account takes 7-10 business day to process the application.

I don't know why I should give WES even a star! Looking at the depressing reviews, I fear my application is going through a similar process as everyone who has provided feedback on WES.org here. They are a criminal organization. I receive the same support email asking for the same documents even though my university has sent the documents over 3 times. How does one file to have them shut down and report them to the Better Business Bureau?
Do not choose WES for the evaluation. They are not professional ,they will accept your money but not evaluate your diploma well. Also you have to do the work instead of them. You need to contact the school from where you got the diploma to solve all the issues instead of them and in the end after a couple of months waiting on them you are not going to get the precise evaluation. I wasted money for nothing. That agency is awful ! Do not make the same mistake that I made!

This company charged me $300, made me wait for 1 year, and still did not give me the evaluation report. I called and emailed many times and their only response was that I need to pay $50 more to restart the process! Now they are holding my only copy of the documents and waiting for more money.

I am trying to upload my transcript to China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI) website to be verified and sent to World Education Service (WES). Would anyone please help me through this process because I have tried my best and am not able to complete the process. Also, CHSI is asking for the report and identification number before uploading the transcript but I was never given one by WES or CSSD, where would be able to find it? I had applied for ECA from WES in Jan 2020, its been almost more than 2 and half years and I still not received my ECA report. Due to Covid most of the Universities and colleges were closed hence it was difficult for me to arrange all the transcripts and send it to WES and then later getting it verified from them. Out of all the 6 required documents, somehow I managed to send and verified 5 documents and just one document, post graduate transcript was pending to be sent. Although I had sent all the 6 requested documents but they said they did not receive my PG transcripts (First of all, all the verification process should be done by WES only, why applicants are required to do the verification as well which ultimately results in delay.) I did everything what WES asked me to do. My post graduate transcript was sent twice but they saying they did not receive it. I tried to contact them multiple time but they did not respond at all. I was going through all these then suddenly I saw they deactivated my account and asked me to pay $50 for activation. I did pay for that as well and started working on sending the pending document but again I received an email from them asking they need to verify all the 5 documents again, which were verified and accepted previously. I was already going through so much and I cannot tell how I felt when I saw the current status updated in my WES account. I felt like giving my head into the wall, their services are so annoying and rubbish that do not co-operate at all and make the whole process very difficult for applicants. I asked them that when out of 6 required documents, 5 documents were already accepted then why you need them to verify again I did spend lots of my money and effort and getting those verified but they did not respond yet. Their services are very pathetic. I do not recommend anyone to go for WES. Choose any other institute, believe me if someone advise you to go for WE because WES takes less time comparatively then trust me it’s all lie, they will end up taking more time as compared to others as they have made their process very difficult.
WES got a new type of scam for Indian applications in the name of secondary verification. They are looting money in this method; beware, every Indian doesn’t try WES.
I hired a study certification service. From being a period of 3-5 days, it was extended to 9-10.
I paid to receive the documentation at my address - 16 days after starting the process and 7 since they claim to certify it, I am still waiting for some documents that have not arrived.
For another shipment to the Study Center to which I am applying, I have paid $30 dollars for the document plus $35 for express delivery ($65). Well now they don't deliver, nor do I know where the certification is.
I called the center. At lost thanks to the Canadian postal service, I have to wait another 10 days, but WES does not know or answer
They tell me that the institution proceed through the link for institutions to download it, but they do not provide me with the link either; and the Educational Center that does not tell you stories.
Advice: stay away from this company. They are inept or worse some real scoundrels. Leaving your job or studies in their hands is dangerous and I would not do it again.

What a waste of time. Tried to evaluate my sisters high school transcript and university one they made a mess. I truly believe they don't read the documents we send to them. 2 months waiting for nothing.
This is the worst educational evaluation service on the planet earth. They will not evaluate your credentials unless the University sends it to them directly. Mind you even if you graduated 15 yrs ago in a foreign country and you no longer live there or have family there as you have migrated to the USA or Canada they still want the university to send it directly to them though you have the original papers in your hand. I totally understand why they want it this way but they have to be flexible during this time of covid and unforeseen circumstances that may happen.
My experience was I had no family in the country I graduated from and the university there told me that I have to get someone to bring the notarized documents to them personally so they can evaluate and hand it back to the person to courier back to me in the USA. I had to find a friend from another state to travel to the university which was also in another state and due to floods and flight cancellation and covid situations escalating my friend could not travel. I lost the promotion I was applying for as the submission date lapsed and had to cancel the evaluation with WES.
They took $ 50 as cancellation money not even considering why a person who wanted their transcripts evaluated so desperately for a job had to cancel.
I did write to the CEO of WES who conveniently handed over my case to the Sr. Director of Global Operations who responded to me they cannot refund the money.
This message is to make people aware of what is going on in WES, there is fine print which we do not read.

Prospective students and immigrants from India who have done their MBA/PGDM from India, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT USE WES for Education Evaluation. For MBA the only people they would provide Masters for MBA is the below as per policy on Feb, 2022.
WES has updated its policy specific to master's degrees in business administration and postgraduate diplomas awarded in India. WES recognizes business study in India as equivalent to a master's degree in Canada a) when the student has completed a three (3) year MBA or b) when the credential is awarded by Indian Institutes of Technology or Indian Institutes of Management.
This will lead you to lose 7 critical points in IRCC just because WES has no idea of XLRI, SP Jain, NITIE, MDI etc and how difficult it is to get into those colleges.
Worst service ever! Untrained, hostile people who are only there to get in the way of your plans. Their site is very clear that there are two ways for the University to send to them our original transcript. I was forced to use the second option because, although they said this university was their partner, the university had no knowledge about this partnership. The envelope was sealed at the University with the proper stamps and WES informs that the stamp is not from the University since it has the legal name of the company on it. I have spent almost 20 hours talking to everyone in that company, including supervisors, and nothing is solved. I ask myself, how can the Ontario Colleges work with a company like this? It is simply impossible to enroll in a course because they do not recognize anything that has been done outside of Canada. Please, don’t do anything with this company, it is a waste of money.

WES does a horrible job with communicating with their clients. They do not read my emails and reply using generic summary of my account which lists what documents were or not accepted. When I tried to explain to them what it is going on, they would resend the previous email without answering to any of my questions.
They claim that WES does not accept "student book" but my university does not have and never mailed them a student book. WES received an official transcript from my university in Poland and they called it a "student book". Student book is called "indeks" and it was never mailed to WES. Moreover, I submitted my diploma certificate translation and they never updated it and it kept showing "not received". Whenever I emailed them or called them and said that the translation is there under my account with all the submitted documents, they never acknowledged that and never replied anything about this.
I used Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) in 2001 and 2004 and they did an amazing and quick job. Unfortunately, they have a 10 year retention period. Anyhow, if you want smoother process without hassles and loosing your sleep over it, DO NOT use WES!

I am not sure what made me to use WES this time but after all my efforts, tones of money and time spent on trying to communicate with them to explain that they had everything they needed, I am canceling my request. They also charge you $50 for cancellation even though it is not your fault. If they do not "like" the transcript from your university, you will be charged, no matter what. I usually never write reviews but I wish I read these before applying.

Expensive service for "evaluating" 1 page of transcripts. Process is extremely slow and archaic (need to send paper documents unless a partnership has been established). Communication with them is slow and has to be done through a contact form from their webpage (unable to follow up through email).
Establishing a "partnership" with a university is a long process, difficult to understand and to explain to institutions and when "established" no email or webpage is provided to send transcripts.
Stay away if possible.
If I could, I would give them negative stars!! I have been trying to reset my username to order a duplicate copy of the report for three months already. I have made no progress. Today they sent an email asking to verify my address and phone number I provided them with already a couple of times. I have talked to customer services, supervisors. Every time I call, I start with ground zero. STAY AWAY!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME and SENSE OF SANITY!!

Absolutely the worst ever customer experience I’ve received. Submitted my paperwork from an educational institute located in Nicaragua and after missing my deadline to send their report they sent me this response:
Thank you for your application to World Education Services (WES). We have reviewed your application. Please note that we evaluate only international credentials. We cannot complete your U.S. evaluation because the study you have submitted was completed in the U.S.
I had a horrible experience with them. Starting from false advertisement and what I would have to do to get my evaluation. They changed the rules on me completely disregarding their own instructions on website and after additional money spent to follow their new rules, they came up with more rules saying that requested verification from my school, and they just never sent them an email. As a result, I am late with all of my deadlines. I am asking for a full refund but I still lost money on expedited shipping of documents ($150) that nobody will ever refund me. I wish I did not hope for the best, and simply went with the reviews and never contacted them. Also all of my questions - they do not respond to you, they say super generic things that will not help you solve your situation and people on the phone can only expedite your requests that will be responded by people will not give you help. So stay away from them.

Worst experience ever!! The reps dont know themselves about what needs to be done. Had to call at least 200 times for updates or issues. Incompetent people. Better go for another body for evaluation to save time and energy. They messed up my evaluation big time.

Worst service ever. Other than ripping you off with a cancellation fee of $50, they don't know exactly the services that they provide specially the agents. There are special services that they don't know and you will end up registering and the information provided was incorrect.
I did my education evaluation for Cananda Migration with WES and got everything approved. I submitted same documents for my US further education in 2021 but they are sending verification to my university again for verification for the same documents that has been evaluated. Due to COVID university has been closed and my report is on HOLD now . I will miss my deadline for my graduate application.
I don't understand why they have to verify the same documents again they themselves verified it in 2017 and I have submitted the same documents again make no sense
If you pay $25 extra for the overnight courier delivery option, you don't get it. Fair enough my report was processed quickly but then they sent it through Canada Post and it's taking 7 days to get here! Yes it has tracking but that's not what they advertise on their website...they advertise it as pay $25 for overnight delivery by courier - Canada Post is not an overnight courier, and 7 days is ridiculous for $25 extra fee!

Don't ask us clients to go through the hassle of contacting our international institution and getting them to send us documents in sealed envelops that we forward to you, if you have to contact them again to ask them to verify the same documents. The first step is pointless.
Why didn't WES contact the institition directly in the first place, avoiding us the trouble of going through the first step which is revealed to be a waste of time? It was a waste of time and resources.
The process is inefficient and ridiculous. What are we paying for if WES cannot provide swift service by taking care of those things electronically via a secure communication between them and the institutions? Why should we still get involved in the communication and degree verification process between them and the institutions? What are we paying for?

Worst customer service ever. 5 different person giving me 5 different answer about the same question. Very very rude but no choice of using them because University required this company. My evaluation completed on January 8th, 2021. Even after 100 days of completion, I didn't receive the physical report. The mail response is not good. there is a call service. They charge heavily for evaluation but they lack in the basic delivery service facility. For tracking, I need to pay an extra 65$. It's ridiculous! Bad customer service and they do not care about doing their job, they will force you to pay 3 times for the service that you will never get. So disappointed with this company!

Horrible service. I appeal the educational institutes to stop using WES as well any other company/organization connected with WES management. It is the worst thing you can do to your prospective students. It is better to ask your potential students to not apply rather than use WES. WES received my documents on 19 Jan and till today they have not even started the process of reviewing. Already more than a month has passed but these guys are sleeping. I have called them in numerable times, spoke to many representatives including their supervisor (Mike) but still nothing happened. I advise students to choose other companies.
After 9 months of delays, terrible communication, only automated email responses, they still have not processed my documents. They acknowledged and accepted all the documents I sent and said it would be done in 7 business days, that is, Dec. 18th. I should have asked what year. It's now Feb. 19th and they only give me automated responses. The poor ladies who work the phones can't give me any answers either. "I'm so sorry sir, I can't help you."

The worst service you can get, they copy and paste the translation and make it an evaluation, without even bother looking at the courses you studied, I did a course by course evaluation and still got the wrong major name because of a different terminology they used in my translation.
If they were really looking to the actual courses I studied they would give me the suitable major name that matches the US standards.
On top of that you can not reach the evaluation team by phone to discuss your issues. And the customer service won’t help and they will tell you to send an email, and after a long time you will receive a worthless respond in a “don’t reply” email!!
For a non-profit they sure do charge a lot and i wouldn’t mind, if it was a good service. This was the most expensive, frustrating and disappointing experience. I wish i had used a different provider. WES completely ignored a whole qualification that was in my original application and definitely received by them and they refuse to fix it. I see that’s a theme from all the other deplorable reviews. Go somewhere else!

They evaluate inaccurately and do not resolve the problem. They have information of the school systems on their website and the evaluators don’t abide by them and make your education level look less than what you really have. They can ruin people’s careers before they even begin by giving inaccurate information to schools and the companies that require an evaluation.
It was the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. They were very rude, robotic and didn't even pretend to care that they wanted to hear or resolve my concerns. The process was also very long. At the end of the suffering of taking the abusive service, they chose not to evaluate a course done at one of the most reputable universities in the West Indies. They also reduced my courses done at 3 different universities to one years credit in USA. Unforgivable!
Worst service with rude customer service.
I sent my documents to them in a sealed envelope with Stamp from my school and they said it needs different stamps. They didn’t evaluate my documents. I requested you to send me back my original documents so I can send it to a different company. They refused to send me back my documents because they claim documents aren’t original. They only said they would refund half of my money which after 2 weeks I still didn’t get my refund. They wasted my time for 2 months and I stuck with my school. Each time I called them I waited 45 minutes to talk with someone, and they were rude and they didn’t do anything to solve the problem. I wish I had read their reviews before.
I could barely reach their customer service. They don't know the difference between orignals, apostile or country/university stamp. They don't scan anything into their system so if you call the customer service can only see the notes and not the documents you sent. HUGE WASTE of time. A month later I got nothing, had to cancel their services and files BBB with state of NY against them for false ad

Mid February - my uni sent official transcripts for the first time
Beginning of April - uni had to send them again
July 10th - evaluation completed BUT with mistakes
August 5th - new evaluation completed
August 7th - they forgot one of my 2 recipients so I contacted customer service yet again
Who knows when I’ll hear back
Moral of the story: by the time the whole process will be done, you won’t even want to apply to universities anymore. Waste of money and time.
Worst and poor customer service ... I sent my credentials 6 months ago .. my school told me they tired of verification.. WES keep sending them verification because they don’t trust any certificate outside the USA .. they think every student outside USA that sent his documents is Fraud... Don’t ever send your credentials to them they will waste your time ..
My experience with WES was a nightmare. I sent three times the same documents with tracking number since they keep telling me that they did not received it when tracking specified that it was delivered. Then they told me part of my translation was missing. During a call their agent told me that once I submit the request online they will email me the missing part so I can have the professional translator providing them with the translation. They then told me they do not send any information back to the applicant. I was mislead during the entire process and they had the audacity to charge me $50 cancellation fee when I cancelled due to their lack of professionalism and malpractice. Save your money and your time and go with another institution.
Terrible service . I paid for my transcripts five months ago my university have been trying to get a hold with them also I sent message they don’t respond and they have delayed all my transcripts although I paid all . Very difficult to work with . Yo not say imposible
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Once you have ordered and paid for your reports They will leave your call on hold for hours. Their "NEW applicants" line works perfectly, though. I ordered my reports from ECE and I had my copies in a couple of days. DON'T waste your money and time with WES. There are many other AMAZING evaluators that will give better service for less money.
I am very dissatisfied with WES because their services are not accurate and the customer service is absolutely unhelpful. I had my associate's degree evaluated and they analyzed it as a bachelor level when my country does not offer this course at bachelor level. Then they placed an "f" for all the classes that I never took. This brought my GPA down for no reason. I have called multiple times, and left emails, only to receive the standard "I will transfer your concern to the right department". Also, all the grades are curved downwards because the European system is much harder than the US system. They should know that the standards are different if they were really experts in the field of international education. Really really poor service and I regret ever having wasting my money with them. Also, they claim that they carry out the evaluation in a week when in reality expect many many delays. If you can avoid them and use another company, please do so! They will ruin your career without even caring about it. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am to have used WES.
I don't know why they are non-profit organization. They make a lot of money from their customers and they don't give the service the customer paid for. According to their tax forms (open access online) they make more than 50 million dollars in revenue of credential evaluations and 10 million dollars a year in net income ("profit"). They of course don't call it profit because they are non-profit, but still, as a customer this is very disappointing.
Don't bother calling their call center. It's useless since this is a contractor company and not really WES offices. All they can tell you is the information available to you on your account online. If you must work with WES: Try to start the process as soon as possible. They claim seven days to complete report, but this is not true in many cases. As soon as they have receive all documents, contact them and tell them to complete the report. Don't give them a grace period as I did, because they don't do their job in a timely manner.

How can WES charge $325 to evaluate 2 degrees and call itself a nonprofit? There is something horribly wrong here if WES is a nonprofit. On top of that they are highly unprofessional, offering no easy way of communication or accountability. For 2 people with the same masters degree, same course, same year and same batch (even the same section) they assess one as bachelors equivalent (person with higher GPA) and another as masters equivalent. Nothing short of a scam!!
If you can go through another organization, than do yourself a favor and do it. Wes has the worst customer service I've experienced in 33 years of my life. Unresponsive is an understatement. I have to bug him several times to get one email answered. When they are answered eventually, the answers are inconsistent with their previous responses. They won't work with you on anything or make your experience at least remotely acceptable. I applied last summer and still haven't resolved my issue with them. Why? First they demand documents for a BA degree when i need to verify a certificate, and when I tell them that they won't respond. The last ticked I submitted was 2 weeks ago. Still zero reaction.
WES is a great and efficient service. I got scared as I read the previous review comments and regretted for choosing WES. But I have been astonished with their excellent service. You just need to provide the required documents and you will have your results in less than a week. I highly recommend it to all who need document evaluation.

WES service is just a nightmare for me! I submitted my original documents as per their website requirements with an additional highest government stamp on them in March 21,2015 . Today is June ,17 and i have no chance but to cancel my evaluation ,because it got stuck in it's initial level as it was when the documents were received.
I paid $205 for the service which they did not provide at all! They rejected all my academic transcripts , claiming that my documents were sent for further verification to my institutions, although these verification has already been done prior to sending them. None of my universities has received ANY correspondence from them! Never! Their database is outdated ,they use a non active , old contact numbers and refuse the active ones,provided through applicant by the university authorities themselves! WES is not responding to emails , you cannot reach them by phone also ,as they are putting you to hold for at least 15 min,and if it is an international call it gonna cost you a fortune. Even if you reached them by phone , you will never get the clear picture on what is going on with the process. I missed my deadline for application ,even though I have applied two months before . Now i cannot have my money back, every time i am contacting them ,i have the same answer: wait for another 5-6 days. If you have any other option for evaluation of your credentials by other organizations, go for them! WES is complete waste of your time, money and your health! Horrible experience! So here is my story with WES. I ordered WES ICAP course by course evaluation.They completed the evaluation within 2 weeks and mailed the universities.Also I got my evaluation report sent to me after a few days and I was satisfied. This was on 4th nov 2014.Today I ordered another 2 duplicate copies.Let's see what happens.
Well my experience with WES has been good so far. For prospective students, I would suggest you to to use the FREE DEGREE EQUIVALENCY TOOL before paying and check the recognition status of your University with WES since if your University is not listed with WES they will end up writing "Bachelors from Non-recognized university" in your report.
Well now comes the documents.For Indian students like me- send the attested photocopies of your original mark sheets from every semester/year by controller of examination/registrar of your University with date.With them, photocopies of your degree/provisional certificate (no need to attested) and the Evaluation form ( signed and stamped by Registrar/Controller ). Ask university to put them together in official envelope and ask them to seal, stamp and sign across the flaps.Then post it.Your work should be done.
I have seen students sending transcripts-WES don't accept transcripts.Also DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS. Attestation by principal/HOD of your college won't do.Only Controller/Registrar.

This organization is running a fraudulent business. They do not communicate unless they have your credit card details and refuse to refund the money even if you do not use their services. They are a non-profit company that makes profit by forcing people to pay administrative charges for communicating with them. I did not submit any documents to them, and they still won't refund my entire amount. I will take caution before using their services or even recommending them to anyone in the future.
What a terrible 'non-profit' organization, I feel like I am trapped, and I just don't know what to do/ where to complain about this fraudulent organization. My documents are stuck with them and they refuse to produce an evaluation report, while also refusing to refund my money. Somebody needs to call out on this organization. I am surprised they're even operating with consistent consumer complaints and highly negative reviews. They're making money out of international students who want to pursue higher education in the States. Worse, they've ties with some of the famous institutions/ or common application systems that demand reports to be submitted only through WES. They never pick up the calls, if they're so busy they could at least have a call back service. All they've is a stupid messaging system that just replies to you stating a bunch of their policies and is not at all catering to the customer needs/ demands. Seriously, I am stuck with them as I got my Masters in the States and haven't been to India in about 3 years. I don't know how should I get my college there to send WES copies of my mark-sheets directly. I sent them attested copies of my transcripts and original mark-sheets that I had with me, and they refuse to send a report/ or give me a refund. WES needs to be shut down/ or filed with consumer courts.
My wife and I are in hell.
We submitted her 18 year old transcript and it has somehow got messed up when the school computerized the records, but they accused of of forgery.
One rep said they could reopen it, another said we had to get a registrar letter saying they screwed up.
The manager is supposed to call, all this while my wife will be forced to wait another year to get into school.
The Chinese Ministry of education was happy to retry using a freshly obtained transcript.

This organization needs to be closed. Their website and automated reply message is all a big scam. They requested my transcript sent to them by my university and they received the transcript and now they say they need some verification from the same university that sent them the transcript in the first place. Not sure why the government is allowing this so-called non profit to operate they are a fraud and also now they have not responded back to my emails and have taken $360.00 from my credit card and and do not want to refund my money even though they did not complete their job.

The US university I was applying for referred me to World Education Services and that is why I thought getting my credentials evaluated by them would be the smartest idea. Now I wish I had read the numerous scathing online reviews first, because I believe they are all true.
I have had to deal with overly complicated bureaucratic processes before but this truly took the crown. Yes, they are upfront about which documents they require from your country, but in practice they obviously have no experience with these documents whatsoever. Numerous of my documents changed status from accepted to not accepted throughout the process showing clearly the inexperience with foreign documents, at least for my German case.
It baffles how this company can demand that all documents be sent by physical mail. By email, this process would have been much quicker and so far I have not seen a valid reason why the evaluation of credentials cannot be handled through email instead of slow and expensive international mail services.
Their customer service is absolutely appalling. After I had sent a copy of my BA degree certificate including translation and had my university send my transcript directly, they still required a special confirmation by my university that I actually completed my degree, even though I had transmitted the specified documents in the specified manner. As their email support had been terrible as well, I called customer service about it. A clueless representative answered in a robotic voice after about 25 minutes of waiting and managed to not answer my questions while still repeating the same answer again and again. I would have been glad to comply with their demands if they would have provided a convincing explanation why they were needed. Sadly, this was not offered on any level.
After 3 months, the report had been completed. Yet, the overnight delivery option I paid for was actually useless, as my copy sent by regular mail arrived the same day as the university copy sent by expedited mail.
Also, there were mistakes in my report that such an "experienced" and well-paid company such as WES should have been able to identify easily.
In short, behind the facade of the "experienced," "expert," and "comprehensive" World Education Services hides a bureaucratic monster that uses antiquated and highly frustrating forms of communication for correspondence and customer service, both of which were handled absolutely poorly; does not fulfill its promise of an expert evaluation; does not respect time requirements; provides no transparency or even logic to their evaluation process; and for a so called "non-profit organization" overcharges students for the close to non-existent effort they put into their work.
I highly recommend to avoid doing business with this highly unprofessional und ineffective company!

My experience with WES has been a nightmare. I started the application two months in advance just to be on a safe side for my admissions date. It's been two months and I am still going back and forth with my documents. They are prompt with the service, all right. I get an email immediately as soon as they get my documents and let me know if they are accepted or no. The problem is THE DOCUMENTS ARE SOMEHOW JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM!
I have sent multiple copies of my degree certificates and my transcripts but they keep getting rejected. So I pick up the call and decide to talk to them and ask them straightforward what is it they want. The customer service is another story. It takes 15 minutes to connect to them - anytime, anyday! I try to call in the morning thinking it will be less busy, no use. I call around noon thinking now maybe they will pick up my call. But it somehow ALWAYS takes them 15 minutes to answer.
Once you do get connected, they are rude and arrogant and not at all helpful. All they do is repeat the same things either from the website or from the email that they have just sent you. They don't get the fact that I have already read it and need further insight, hence the call. I try asking for clarifications, I try twisting my questions. But the answers always remain stern and the same.
My bad luck was that the colleges I am applying to won't accept anything except WES. So I am stuck here. But if you have a choice, please go for another service. This is too costly. Too time consuming. Too frustrating. I am already missed the priority deadline because of the disappointing process.

I was so worried about applying here coz of all the bad reviews I had read. But I got my evaluation exactly on the day they'd committed ie 2 weeks after they received my documents.. & trust me, my education background is quite complicated.

This company is stealing money and taking advantage of us! I needed an ICAP evaluation for my studies at Jagellonian University in Krakow for application for PhD in Epidemiology this year. I paid $291 to WES for this service. Transcripts were sent from registrar and diploma photocopy from me exactly as requested by WES (transcripts signed and sealed by the Dean of Health Sciences Faculty at Jagellonian University) and verified as received at WES. The first time I called I was told the transcripts were photocopies, and not originals and therefore would not be accepted. When I contacted the registrar at Jagellonian University I was told that they were originals, signed and sealed by the Dean of Heath Sciences Faculty as stated above. When I called WES again I talked to representative Mabinty Samura (After being on hold for 30-40 minutes) who first told me that they were originals, but the envelope was not sealed. After continuing the conversation, she told me that they suspect I actually sent the transcripts because there is no evidence of an envelope from the University and the only envelope they have was the one I sent the diploma in. Finally, after a long conversation, she admitted that WES in fact could not find the envelope, and admitted they made an error. Because of this, she agreed to send a confirmation request by email to Jagellonian University that could be responded to by email, and could potentially resolve the problem in a matter of days. However, she explicitly told me she could send that email to my program's registrar, if I provided the email address and name. I sent the email address to her on Nov. 13th with the woman's name, email and phone number. I also alerted the registrar to expect the email, and then on Nov. 14th sent an email to Mabinty to tell her that the registrar is waiting for the confirmation request. On the same day, I received an automatic email that said that the request was sent out, but it did not say to who or by what means. Having heard nothing, today (Nov. 19th) I called WES and talked to Mabinty again. She told me that in fact they are not allowed to send a confirmation request to a contact provided by a client, and that the contact I provided was just an alternative contact. She said they faxed the request to a fax number she would not give me and perhaps sent to a different email, which she would also not give me. I requested to talk to her manager, and after being on hold 5-6 times, she hung up on me. I called back and talked to another woman who told me they had not sent the confirmation by fax (it was rejected supposedly), and that they sent it by snail mail and email, but could not tell me where. I asked both women several times to talk to their managers and were told they were not available, and finally, that I could leave a message, which I did, twice (not expecting an answer).
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and posted this on the Consumer Affairs website. I have also written an explanation with links to these sites to the school I am applying to.

My degree is fully recognized by Govt. of Pakistan (HEC) and Saudi Arabia . I followed the same procedure what is mentioned on the WES- Canada Website for evaluation report .
But , after 7 days I just checked online the evaluation process by WES as per WES -Canada my degree has no value in Canada , and it is not from a recognized Pakistani University , then I emailed with all details of Recognition from Govt. of Pakistan and HEC-Higher Education Commission of Pakistan - Islamabad , it can be seen easily on www.hec.gov.pk web site ,

Stay away. Absolutely not good peoples. They do wrong report and when I ask why they make wrong report they not get back to me for 6 months. After 6 months they make changes and again I find more wrong things. Now 3 more months and no report. What I do? They take all my money. I am student and cannot give more money to other to do report.
I paid evaluation fee and additional fee for rush work & submitted my Bachelor of Business Administration transcript to WES directly from the university last attended in the manner specified by them. I received their mail acknowledging receipt of transcript where they mentioned that photocopy of the provisional deggre is needed and till the photocopy is received, evaluation of my transcipt is on hold. I immedately mailed photocopy of my provisional degree by spending a handsome amount to courier service. WES again acknowledged that they have received photocopy of provisional degree. But to my surprise, the evaluation of transcript was again pending with the reason "Waiting for required document". This time they asked for photocopy of the transcript which was already with them in ORIGINAL. I tried to contac them via E-mails/phone calls bot got no response. It is vertually impossible to contact them. Once you pay fee, they don't bother for you. I request all the readers and institutions to never utilze services of WES. They will ruin future of thousands of aspirants who want to study in USA or Canada. They are cheat. They never adopt fair practice.

Oh dear, my husband and I just each gave over $200 to WES before we found these reviews, I usually go over company internet reviews with a fine tooth comb, but I did not think to do it for this company and I googled them to find their address, and I am seeing bad stuff about them all over the internet. Thing is, we are from the US seeking to immigrate to Canada within the next two years, and we need the credential reviews for Canadian schools and employment, as well as immigration, so we are dealing with the Toronto office, and all of the bad reviews that I have found are about the US branch in NYC. I hope the Canadian office is better, does anyone know? Has anyone had a bad experience with the Canadian office? I will post an update on how our situation turns out with them. Keeping my fingers crossed. I am glad that we started this process very early.
They are crooks, no doubt about it. Look at other reviews. Only poisitive review is written by WES themselves. If you don't believe go look at all the complaints on the internet and they say same thing. I have not met one person in my university who says they are happy with wes. We have to use them because our university make us use them. They cheat us, don't answer phone calls, talk very badly to peoples, because they know we cannot go anywhere else. I think maybe they pay people bribe in our univesity that is why our university not wanting to change them.
Very bad experiece! Had my transcript evaluated on June and up to now they haven't sent my completed evaluation to the school! Called them how many times. Every customer service rep that I spoke to said they will forward the copy to the school. Can't imagine how they said that without really sending it to the school! Was it too much too ask? I have an issue with WES where they evaluated my transcripts but failed to do so properly. On their website they promise to do a completed and to the best of their ability if you choose their services over the other agencies. But after I paid them they ignored me and refuse to talk or email. My issue is on the US equivalency section. They gave me an equivalency of " 4 years of professional STUDIES in medicine", where as they gave my freinds who attended the same school and had a lower GPA than me " first professional DEGREE in medicine". I ask why the difference and how did they arrive at mine. They refuse to explain to me how they arrived at the equivalency for me and don't want to talk. They have an oligation under the non-profit status to abide by all laws and regulations in being forthcoming, fair and honest. they failed that test and they continue to operate with no oversight. WES has clear instructions on what academic documents to submit and how to submit them. More than 50,000 individuals each year successfully obtain their credential evaluations from WES, and to date WES has prepared evaluations for close to 750,000 foreign educated persons. Still, there are also people who cannot, or will not, submit authentic credentials and there is not much that WES can do to help them. They can seek to have their application fees refunded, but without confirmed authentic credentials, WES does not prepare an evaluation report.
I agree. I had the same experience. Talking to other at my school I found out that I wasn't the only one. Their report was incomplete, had plenty of typos that they refused to correct. Left out 2 subject, etc.
This organization is running a scam. Check the NY BBB file, http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/educational-consultants/world-education-services-inc-in-new-york-ny-9023/ it shows that in just 36mths the NY BBB has processed 129 complaints relating to failure to provide the credentialing services paid for, difficulties contacting the company and difficulties getting refunds. WES tactic is to tell you the documents to ask your educational institution for, and if/when you find out that no such documents exist at your institution, WES blames you for failing to submit the documents you "promised" to submit. "Customer Services" are rude and/or hang up on you. The company doesnt respond to emails, or online form submissions. Even questions submitted prior to problems arising. There is basically no way to communicate with this company to resolve problems. I am $170 out of pocket, and have been told that they cannot provide the service I paid for.
