Mission: World carp is an international campus-based organization that raises young leaders of character who live for the greater good and build a culture of true love. We strive for personal excellence through challenging our limitations and practicing a principled lifestyle. We believe that enduring relationships, based on the model of true family, will build toward lasting peace within the larger community and the world. Through serving the campus community, we advocate and develop moral, ethical relationships in preparation for family life and career.
Programs: In 2016, world carp inc. Held 4 quarterly leadership training conferences, 12 team building alignment workshops, and 7 volunteer service programs. Winter leadership conference was held from december 29, 2015 until january 3, 2016 at the sea ranch resort (address: 1731 n. Virginia dare trail, kill devil hills, nc 27948, nc), about 30 volunteers and 5 guests participated. All the participants had experience in visiting wright brothers national memorial, kitty hawk, nc and they could understand how wind, sand, and a dream of flight brought wilbur and orville wright to kitty hawk, north carolina. Volunteers were impressed that with courage and perseverance, these self-taught engineers relied on teamwork and application of the scientific process. Participants had yut- game (korean traditional game) for team competition as team building program. They had midnight reflection through beach walk, country talent show in the culture night, and group discussion to define 2016 vision and goal. On january 17-18, 2016, martin luther king, jr. Day, 10 volunteers attended service program at spellman college sisters chapel, atlanta, ga, and other 20 international volunteers attended local service program, jersey city liberty state park, nj. Spring leadership conference was held at korean family church, north haledon, nj (address: 374 squaw brook rd. North haledon, nj 07508) from april 10 - 15, 2016, and all 30 international volunteers and staffs participated in leadership training conference and leadership development-team building presentation was given by hyung ki kim, director and they visited statue of liberty nyc sightseeing including broadway show (matilda) and national monument. 10 volunteers organized three local service projects on june 12-14, 2016 in new town, nd and 20 volunteers organized service program and participated with local communities on july 31, 2017: mt. Tabor park, portland, or and summit land conservancy, salt lake city, utsummer adventure leadership training program was held at denver family church, denver, co from july 3 to july 9, about 25 international volunteers and 5 program staffs have participated in the program, they had outdoor adventure programs to build team spirit: rafting in colorado river, sightseeing in red rock amphitheater, and hiking rocky mountain top. On september 11, 2016 two service programs were organized and all 20 volunteers attend the programs at the wellness community services, pasadena, ca and the denver family church, denver, co. September 17, 2016 30 volunteers participated in america and god's will rally, washington, dc. Fall workshop was held in little rock, ar from october 8 until october 12, 2016. 25 international volunteers and 5 program staffs have participated in the leadership conference, they attended family value presentation, leadership development, and how to build winning team. December 9 2016 10 volunteers arranged vip interview program with mr. Urooj khan, a former chairman of icbc, a businessman owning an impulse computers and electronics business, a passionate mentor of empowering kids who are victims of bullying and now he's enrole as a reserve deputy in travis county department and a loving father to al at cedar park, texas. 5 volunteer team had a chance to interview with the vip and they could practice improving interpersonal communication skill through the interview. Winter leadership conference was held from december 30, 2016 until january 6, 2017 at atlanta family church. 25 young international volunteers and other 5 guests had attended the conference, the volunteers have reflected in year 2016 and made year 2016 goal and resolution. In addition to the programs, 12 team building workshops were held throughout the year of 2016, which all international volunteers had team build workshop including discussion session about how to build winning team and how to build team play, and they shared best their best practice and diverse cultural learning through teamwork.
