What a great organization, they not only help kids with disabilities with a new helper & friend but they also do a lot of great work in the prison system where they dogs are trained. My son received a golden retriever in 2010 and life has not been the same. Tommy goes to school with Jack and anywhere else we've ever been to (he's been on rides at Disney). They do a great job of finding out the needs of the kid and matching them with a dog that excels in the needed skills. The prisoners training the animals also have a sense of helping someone and makes their time served more useful to society and theraputic for the prisoner. I can't say with enough words how awesomet his organization is and their impact on society, one animal at a time.
In 2008 we thought that a service dog would help my daughter who was in a wheelchair. We applied for one and were very fortunate to receive one. It has been such a life changing event for her. Her dog is her best friend and helps her so much. I feel it has improved her quality of life so much. She is much more confident. I can't thank this organization enough for all they have done for us.
