Mission: Work options for women helps people overcome barriers to sustainable employment by building confidence while providing resources and culinary training.
Programs: In 2017, 146 students enrolled in our culinary job skills training program. 100% of our students were low or no income; 75% were women; 74% reported having housing instability; 83% had personal experience with the criminal justice system; 27% had no educational credentials; and 74% reported violence within their own homes. The ethnic breakdown of our students was 21% latino, 9% were native american, 22% african american, 19% caucasian, 20% were other. Of the 146 students that enrolled 80% completed their servsafe certificate. 69 completed the training and 62 became sustainably employed.
