Mission: Founded in 1940 by Jack Wyrtzen, the heartbeat of Word of Life is reaching youth with the Gospel of Christ. Borne out of this vision, the ministry grew not only in America, but also on six continents around the world. Today, under the leadership of Executive Director Joe Jordan, the worldwide ministries of Word of Life touch the lives of youth and adults through Local Church Ministries, Bible Institutes, Camps and Conference Centers, Gospel Ministries and International Ministries.
Programs: *Word of Life Local Church Ministries (Clubs), through local churches, seek to establish foundational truths for godly living in the lives of young people. **Word of Life Bible Institutes seek to teach the will of God through the study of the Word of God, the Bible. Both resident and adjunct professors teach students on 6 continents. ***Word of Life International Ministries seek to reach the young people of various countries using the Local Church materials. ****Both short-term and career ministry opportunities are offered for those interested. Various avenues of ministry are available, including short-term missions, work/volunteer, wilderness and sports trips. ***Word of Life Camps and Conference Centers minister to youth and adults all around the world through the element of camping. **Word of Life Gospel Ministries use music, drama and other media vehicles to present the gospel to thousands around the world.
I have been involved with WOL Fellowship in many ways for more than 30 years. We personally support several of their missionaries and are honored to have served the Lord alongside many of them. It is a long-term ministry from the ground up. A person may work with WOL from a child through retirement, being ministered to, then doing the ministering. They are a worldwide ministry doing a great work.
