Meet Jojo, originally named "chewy," which made us wonder if there was a reason for the name! As it turned out, he's far from being a naughty fellow. He's an absolute luv. At 3.5 years, he's still very playful and loving. Very affectionate. It's hard to believe that this wonderful friend waited three weeks at Woods for us to come and find him. It was love at first sight, and I know that the love and care he received under their care is what maintained his wonderful personality. He's an absolute joy.
Woods Humane Society is one of the VERY FINEST in the Nation! I volunteered for years next door at the County Animal Services and we were over at Woods Humane Society all the time as they did the spays and neuters for our kittens and cats. I got to know all the wonderful people there, the surgeons, volunteer, staff, cats - everyone. They are a very hard working group of people so full of compassion, empathy and a very strong skill set and WOW, their volunteers are the best!!
I HIGHLY recommend adopting from Woods Humane Society (as well as Animal Services next door which is a Kill Shelter), and you will see for yourself just how happy those cats are there at Woods (not so much at Animal Services - they are very scared there, and for reasons!
