Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Employment Preparation & Procurement, Family Services, Human Services, Interfaith Coalitions, Job Training, Neighborhood Centers, Religion
Mission: From the beginning, Interfaith has been responsive to the needs of the community and has been a catalyst for social services. The assistance provided by Interfaith is broad and intergenerational serving over 216,000 individuals in 2006. Services include support such as food, clothing, rent/mortgage, transitional housing, utilities, and prescription drug assistance for individuals and families in crisis. Senior Care and Wellness Programs provide guidance, resources and referral services promoting independent living, as well as, programs and activities adding to the quality of life for senior citizens. Funds also provide subsidized counseling, job training, and Interfaith Child Development Center scholarships. No one in need who comes to Interfaith is turned away without some type of assistance. As our service area grows and changes, Interfaith is also evolving and remains the incubator for innovative programs for serving our constituents.
Target demographics: families and individuals in crisis situations
Programs: Senior services including senior transportation, the Interfaith Child Development Center, employment services, family services, a food pantry, job assistance, job counseling, crisis assistance, workforce services, and The Woodlands Directory.
