Mission: To stabalize, restore and maintain the life saving station on wood island in kittery maine for the enjoyment and education of the current and future generations.
Programs: The historic life saving station on wood island in kittery maine began its restoration in 2016. That year ended with the structure clean, safe, and ready for the second phase of work in 2017. The restoration of the building's exterior was accomplished in 2017. There was also a great deal of preparation undertaken in 2017 (engineering, permitting, planning) for the upcoming 2018 construction season that will begin work on the site around the historic building including a massive new sea wall, a new pier, electrical and plumbing in the building and the reconstruction of a historic shed.
