Mission: Provide in-home, nutritional and transportation services through governmental grants and programs, as well as, seeking volunteer services for the benefit of the organization. All such items benefit the senior low-income population of wood county, west virginia.
Programs: The community care program is designed to provide in-home services to the elderly and disadvantaged citizens of wood county, west virginia. These services include cleaning, cooking, shopping, and various tasks for the senior medicaid recepients. The program seeks new clients on a regular basis in order to expand services to those whom need said services.
the nutrional program provides meals to the seniors within the area and all senior citizens being welcome. These hot meals are provided 5 days a week and are either home delivered or served in a congregate setting. This setting allows the seniors to socialize and they provide activities for the seniors in order for them to have interaction with those of similar being.
the transportation program is used to transport seniors to the various senior centers for the social interaction and meals (noted in 4b). Furthermore, they assist the low income in transporting them to medical appointements as well as other appointments necessary for them to maintain a fruitful lifestyle. All of these services are based on qualifications as established by the federal and state governments.
