Mission: The Women's Philanthropy Institute inspires, educates and encourages women to effect positive change in the world through philanthropy. The Women's Philanthropy Institute grew out of an outreach program formed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. WPI has developed an innovative program to help motivate all women as donors and volunteer leaders for the nonprofit causes of their choosing. In addition to its educational seminars, WPI publishes a quarterly newsletter that highlights the role(s) women play in philanthropic activity.
