I've been a board member for about 15 years. I love the way this center is open during the day so
even if someone isn't ready to reach out for help they can still check in and have nutritious lunch
and start to get to know what is available for them. The staff is extraordinary. I feel safer knowing
that there is safe place in this world for women and their children who are in need!

I've been a volunteer with the WDDC for 15 years. It's a very important part of my life. Our caring staff and volunteers provide a wide range of services and programs to our clients: we serve breakfast and a hot lunch each day; support groups on parenting, managing difficult feelings, smoking cessation, and HIV-AIDS prevention meet each week, and classes in yoga, jewelry making, sewing, knitting, and creative writing are part of the program. Extensive case management is provided to all clients who need or want it. The WDDC fills a real need in our community.
