Programs: In 2017 we operated two (2) farms in africa. The farms are operated by women. Our sister organization provides training to improve agricultural techniques. We also provide business training which educates the women on marketing and selling the produce they grow. The two farms impact sixty (60) women, giving them a livable income which helps provide for their families. The average size family is 5-8 children with an impact of 300-480 children and elders. Entire communities are served through this program. We continue with the sewing program but reduced the number to approximately thirty (30) women. The decrease in number is limited because of the limited number of sewing machines and raw materials, however, the women who do participate in this program are able to manufacture garments that can be sold at market, providing much needed income to the families. Our newest program palm oil tree sales is very exciting, the palm oil is a staple of africa and can be sold for a vary of uses. Approximately twenty-five (25) women participate in this program. All programs in africa are operate year round. In atlanta, ga our work with the shelters consist of financial donations toward employment training and/or search. We serve approximately fifty (50) women in this program. We also provide items like clothing, personal items, children clothes and bedding.
