Mission: Witness for Peace (WFP) is a politically independent, nationwide grassroots organization of over 20,000 people committed to nonviolence and led by faith and conscience. For nearly 30 years, WFP has forwarded peace, justice and sustainable economies in the Americas by changing U.S. policies and corporate practices that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Programs: Witness for Peace maintains a permanent presence in Nicaragua, Mexico and Colombia. Witness for Peace volunteers travel to these countries, and others, including Venezuela and Cuba. In the US, Witness for Peace maintains a small operating office in Washington DC, and regional offices--for grassroots organizing and activism--around the country. These offices are located in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, the Upper Mid-west, the Southwest and the Northwest.
