Programs: Asian american tobacco prevention network of wisconsin (aatpnw) - the mission is to aggressively pursue the prevention and elimination of tobacco use, utilizing best practices while respecting the unique cultural and religious roles of tobacco. Wucmaa collaborates with mutual assistance associations (maa) to precent tobacco use, promote cessation, and eliminate second hand smoke this mission will be achieved through the maa working within the asian communities designed to address tobacco control issues in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner
to build a greater understanding of the alcohol and drug abuse (aoda) and mental health severity in the hmong community and prepare hmong key people and equip them with aoda and mental health knowledge that will enable each to identify, provide peer support, make proper referral for services and provide a collective voice for the aoda and mental health prevention and intervention.
