Mission: Family, career and community leaders of america is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education.
Programs: The association has nine national programs that are our programs of work and include career connection, leadership service in action, facts (families acting for community traffic safety), families first-japanese exchange, financial fitness, power of one, and stop the violence, star competitive events. The focus of each year and the program of work are determined in the summer after the election of officers. Fall leadership labs are hosted in three parts of the state. The state leadership conference holds star events which are competitive events that focus on the demonstration of skills and knowledge in comprehensive and occupational involvement through projects. Community service is decided nationally and at the state level and the money raised is sent directly to a charitable organization. The 2016-2017 community service projects are the lead2feed and collaborative teen driving.
