Mission: As a ministry of the evangelical covenant church, covenant retirement communities celebrates god's gift of life in christian community. We follow the great commandment to love and serve god and one another as taught by jesus christ. (see schedule o)
Programs: Residential living:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 391 residents, occupying 315 apartments at 01/31/2017. Residency for the fiscal year totaled 138,807 resident days.
assisted living and assisted living dementia:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 37 assisted living residents at 01/31/2017. Assisted living residency for the fiscal year totaled 13,647 patient days.
skilled nursing:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 71 skilled care patients at 01/31/2017. Skilled care residency for the fiscal year totaled 22,717 patient days.
the organization was involved in various community benefits projects that include the following:- staff members volunteered a total of 1,037 hours of their time to various activities/events in the community (equivalent to $112,100)- residents volunteered a total of 9,923 hours of their time to various activities/events in the community such as the feed my starving children, child evangelism knitting, at ronald mcdonald house and others. Residents also sponsored resf scholarships ($10,200 in total)- provided space usage for meetings & events for small (under 35) to large groups (75+ people) including local schools, team, west suburban nurses, west suburban il music teachers, carol stream networking group, rest training, various lectures or presentations, election poll site and others (equivalent to $278,063)- monetary donations to various groups and individuals including wheaton artist series, cadence health, carol stream chamber foundation, wheaton college artist series, lions club, esse pancake breakfast, singing men of oakbrook, swedish covenant hospital, wheaton pd and others (total of $16,825)- in-kind donations given to the operation christmas child, toy drive and others ($2,140 estimated value)- sponsored the covenant passport program (total of $2,120)- hosted small to large scale community events such as the artist reception, technology class, w. A. Heroes and villains class, community school of the arts, center for lifelong learning, radio drama, multiple events by the sales team and others (equivalent to $1,711,819)
