Causes: Arts & Culture
Mission: Willamette valley development officers (wvdo), inc. Serves people raising funds for non-profit organizations by linking them with others in the development community and providing affordable opportunities for their professional growth and education.
Programs: Wvdo provides community training programs focused on nonprofit fundraising including monthly programs, 2-day conference, quarterly interest groups and business/nonprofit networking sessions. Conference attendance included 300 individuals at the february conference and 150 attendees at the september symposium.
wvdo provides a noncredit certificate program at portland state university. This is a 40 week program involving 33 students, 33 mentors and 33 nonprofits for praticuums. This new program is training individuals on fundraising skills.
wvdo provides an executive leadership academy, a program of 10 individuals, supported by 5 mentors. This program prepares development professionals and provides them the tools to move into executive leadership roles.
