Mission: Wildlife rehab center llc is an independent, nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to offering the west michigan area a reliable, high-quality resource for the rehabilitation of orphaned, abandoned, injured, or incapacitated wildlife. Licensed by both the michigan department of natural resources and the u. S. Fish & wildlife service, we offer a very high level of practical experience, know-how, contacts, and confidence. Working with us is a professional and simple way to guarantee the swift and humane return of wounded animals and migratory birds to their natural habitat.
Programs: 1) processed more than 2,350 animal units in 2016. 2) achieved a 71% "release" rate and 9% captivity rate leaving less than 20% of animal units to morbidity, mortality, or euthanasia. 3) met or exceeded the standards set forth by the national wildlife rehabilitators association (nwra) and the international wildlife rehabilitation council (iwrc). Note: majority of expenses are listed in part i, line 16. Program expenses here include animal feed, laundry of bedding, and other daily sustenance expenses.
