I began doing the non-profit return for WildWings Inc 3 years ago and I am so glad to be a part of this wonderful organization. Terry is the director and her love for the animals is so obvious. She really enjoys caring for the raptors and giving tours of their facility. Their knowledge, about Raptors and their key roles in our environment is astounding and she strives daily to increase the centers resources and capabilities to better serve the public and the birds. The purpose and educational goals of Wild Wings is to truly help Rochester’s raptors while allowing us an inside look at how they eat, fly, interact and function in today's world. From the silent, yellow-eyed gaze of a Great Horned Owl to the insistent chatter of the Peregrine Falcon these birds will captivate and enrich your soul. Whether you are 8 or 80 you will enjoy any of the programs Wild Wings offers and I guarantee you will come away with a new understanding of raptors, and even a few fun facts! ( Did you know that the Peregrine Falcon is actually the fastest animal on earth!?) Mission: Wild wings is a not-for-profit educational organization that houses and cares forpermanently injured birds of prey or "raptors" which are unable tosurvive on their own in the wild any more. Our mission is to teachenvironmental stewardship through programs featuring our residentraptors as our teaching partners. We travel with our raptors toschools, scout meetings, and many other corporate and private events,and we also host educational programs and hikes at our facility atmendon ponds park.
