Mission: Whether furry, feathered, or scaled.. Wild or Domestic, Wild Whiskers is dedicated to saving them all! The rescue began in 2018 as a licensed Michigan Wildlife Rehabilitation center and has since opened their doors to domestic exotic pets all around the state. In addition to giving each animal a second chance at life, Wild Whiskers works hard in other areas such as public outreach, continued education, and encouraging pro-environmental behaviors in their community.
Wild Whiskers loves the unloved, her heart is big with all the compassion and kindness she gives.
She rescues those that many care so little about, like turtles hit by cars and squirrels attacked by cats.
I love Wild Whiskers.
Kayla once saved over 100 chickens from being murdered, 100!! She also rescued a mink that escaped from a fur farm.
If that's not tough as nails animal rights activism, I don't know what is.
Kayla is a bad-a hero.

Such an inclusive and compassionate rescue. I absolutely love how this is a domestic animal and wildlife rescue together.
Now that's feeding two birds with one scone.
I love Kayla's heart for wildlife. Especially opossums, they're my favorite animal, I love learning interesting facts about them like how they eat ticks and helped people develop anti venom.

What can I say but WOW! Kayla is an absolutely spectacular human being with an incredible amount of patience and know-how about rehabbing animals. You name it, she's helped it, and never backs down from a challenge. We're so lucky to have her in the Kalamazoo area
Roosters were dumped off along the dirt road where we live in the country. "Frosty" chose to move into our yard. We were not set up to care for and Keep a lone rooster safe from predators and the upcoming winter. We found Wild Whiskers Wildlife Rescue in Kalamazoo and they were amazing! Kayla and her volunteers go above and beyond..coming out on a Sunday night, in the dark to get "Frosty" safely into a cage and moving him to a safe home with birds of his own feather!!
