I started out volunteering at SC-Cares as my therapy after losing my mom, when it was necessary to close and some of the animals were transferred to Wild Things, I came with them and that was in 2019.It is truly an amazing place with all the love, attention and care that each beautiful soul receives from being injured, abused or just a place to spend the remainder of their life. I spend 3-4 days a week there and the peace and tranquility are a positive, but the animals fill my heart and soul with love and caring for them is a pleasure. Wild Things is expanding and there is a list of animals to come. Dale and Jeanette use every penny donated for the care of the animals and that is an ongoing need. Please check us out, donations and volunteers are always welcome.

This facility is a blessing to the wildlife.
I witnessed the love and dedication of those animals by everyone there. It is a place filled with critters of every breed being loved and cared for while trying to have them return to freedom.
I donated for the care of a raccoon that showed up at my house injured. Coal is doing well and will return to freedom this Spring.
If you can, sponsor an animal in need or donate from their Amazon wishlist. Every little bit helps!

My mom and I have been working out here for almost 2 years now if not longer, and its always the highlight of our week. Everything is always well organized and well taken care of. Everyone out here always does their part on keeping it all running smoothly. It's a great experience being able to come out here and work with and around all the animals. Dale and Jeanette both have taught us so much! Our work out here has been an amazing learning experience and we absolutely love it!

I have been going to this rescue for a few years. I'm the massage therapist for the animals; mostly for the horses; but occasionally some of the other "critters" have a spa day too. Dale & Jeanette have dedicated their lives to these animals. The health and well being of these animals is the number one priority. The animals receive anything they need. If monetary donations are given, you can be assured the money goes for the needs of the animals. If you can volunteer, you won't regret it. This is my happy place.

WTFC is the absolute best rescue sanctuary I’ve been involved with. I’ve rescued domestic and wildlife for 40 years and have been involved with many rescues. Dale and Jeanette are truly dedicated to the animals who live at WTFC, whether it’s their permanent or temporary home. Rehabilitation of animals is a “calling” and they both were blessed with the gift to succeed in the challenge of saving the unfortunate. I am thankful for them! ❤️

Tango was my horse before we went to Wild Things. I cried my eyes out when I realized he wasn’t safe (with sight and hearing issues) or happy anymore living in Florida. Dale and his team welcomed Tango with open arms and I’ve never seen him healthier, calmer or happier. I get updates all the time and they’re constantly expanding the property. I’m so grateful he was able to have a safe landing here to live out the rest of his days.
