Wild Paws is proud to be able to help displaced wildlife in need. We have grown from providing for two residents to seven in 2023, and this is thanks to our fantastic volunteers and our generous donors and supporters. Our residents are not able to be released into the wild again after rehabilitation or due to the circumstances they came from, and therefore we provide them with a home for life. Our habitats are built to mimic nature to allow every animal to feel free and provide enrichment features appropriate to each animal’s needs, allowing them to pursue their natural behaviors.
I’ve been involved with this non-profit organization since the very beginning as one of the many people dedicated to the care and support of wild animals in need of a special home for life - wild animals that for what ever reason beyond their control can no longer live successfully on their own in the wild as they should do. Some of the animals in our care were raised in captivity to be nothing more than a source of income for their former owner, producing babies for sale! Others came to Wild Paws from rehab facilities after surviving accidents that left them with injuries that made them unable to survive on their own if released back into their original wild homes.
The care team at Wild Paws works diligently to provide all these residents with the best possible lives they can live in their new “forever” homes. Habitats are spacious and designed to mimic what their natural environment would be like. Opportunities are provided to give them daily experiences as close to what they would encounter on their own out in the wild as well. At Wild Paws they will get to live their best lives possible.
I am so proud to be involved with this organization and do what I can to help it fulfill its mission - To rescue and provide a safe habitat for wild animals using sustainable resources; to promote coexistence between humans and wildlife; and to educate the public about the preservation of wild animals and their ecosystems.
Wild Paws had an impactful 2023, increasing the number of residents by 250%. There was a need to place additional animals with sanctuaries, and the board of directors in consultation with our committees concur this is all we can responsibly accept for this year. This is the third rescue organization that I have volunteered with, and they are, without question, the most passionate and dedicated group I have had the privilege to work with. Their dedication to the safety and wellbeing of the animals is exceptional. The amount of caring and thoughtfulness they give to each rescue is to be admired. I feel very fortunate to be associated with this group of people, and especially for this noble cause.

Wild Paws has made tremendous progress over the past few years, particularly with the establishment of the new facility in WI. Through the efforts of volunteers, donors, and others connected with the organization, Wild Paws will continue to help displaced wild animals.

This has been such a great organization to be involved in. The board members are very active in all aspects of the day to day operations and work well together to make sure decisions are made that are in the best interest of the animals and organization. They treat the animals with great respect and try and make their lives as enriched as they can be in captivity.
I have been involved with Wild Paws since the very beginning and I know how dedicated the Board Members and Volunteers are to our mission of educating the public about their environment, sustainability and it's native species. It's been challenging but so worth the efforts to provide the best situation for animals that can't survive on their own in the wild and deserve a chance to enjoy life.
That is what drives us and the need is there still. We get contacted on a regular basis for animals in need. So this will only grow and evolve and we need to be ready.
