This group works tirelessly to save the lives of dogs all over the east coast. They provide visibility, information, and financial help to shelters and rescues.

I have watched the founding of this organization, listened in on many meetings, and waved goodbye as they set out on their tours to bring awareness of the plight of shelter dogs throughout the southern US. They genuinely care and are passionately dedicated to helping the helpless. My family has donated many times to their cause, and seen the results. Many shelters have benefited from their work, and many a dog made happier and healthier as they make their way to their forever homes.

My daughter got her dog Enzo from Cara when she first got married. He was just a puppy but already well behaved and easy to train due to the care and love he received from his foster. When my old girl passes I plan on adopting from WWLTDO and hopefully Cara!

I had no idea the plight of shelters and animals in some parts of the country was this horrible. Thanks to the folks at Who Will Let the Dogs Out for educating me. I’ve donated and will do so again.

I have been following Who Will Let The Dogs Out for a while now, and their hard work never ceases to amaze and inspire me. As someone who works with rescue dogs as well, I know how exhausting it can be both physically and emotionally, but this organization consistently does everything it can to help animal shelters while also educating the public. I’ve interacted with Cara several times virtually, and she’s one of the kindest people I’ve talked to. She has such a big heart when it comes to helping animals, so I look up to her a lot.

I’m a longtime volunteer in the world of animal rescue and continue to be so impressed with the work being done by the dedicated team at Who Will Let the Dogs Out (WWLDO). As a volunteer with this organization, I’ve learned about the amazing people working every day to save lives under extremely challenging conditions in off-the-beaten-track shelters in the south. I'm so happy to be a member of the WWLDO team and grateful for the opportunity to help raise awareness and resources for these shelters and the incredible people who never give up no matter how grim the circumstances. -VLawlor

This nonprofit is out to help so many other nonprofits. They care about the animals and the people trying to save them. Who Will Let The Dogs Out is a wonderful help for those of us dealing with dogs and cats every day. We are trying to start a shelter here in Mississippi and they donated our first Canine Condo. We are so excited and can't wait to get it up and running.

I have followed Who Will Let the Dogs Out since the beginning. I am so excited to see them make inroads into places some would rather just forget. Every little step is moving pet overpopulation in the right direction.

This is an amazing nonprofit. I got interested in them through Cara and her books. What amazing and selfless work the whole “team” does. What better way to pay it forward than to visit the places with the most need and the least resources.

As a new volunteer, I was immediately impressed by the energy, compassion, and commitment of the team at Who Will Let the Dogs Out as they work to assist shelters and raise awareness of the issues faced by shelters. I continue to be impressed. The Resource Guide they developed and posted on their website is a valuable source of information for advocates, shelter and rescue professionals, volunteers, and everyone working to help homeless dogs.

Of all the nonprofits for which I've given my volunteer time, this is the one I value the most. Cara and the entire WWLDO team of volunteers are compassionate, committed, creative, and determined to make a difference. The approach by WWLDO of raising awareness about burdened animal shelters throughout the country is refreshing, and I'm honored to be a part of this organization. We'll keep trying to spread the word and find solutions for supporting countless shelters in saving and housing homeless dogs and pets.

An amazing organization that has been instrumental in helping Saving Webster Dogs with their goal to give the dogs from Webster County, WV the second chances they desperately need and deserve. They were one of the driving forces behind recent fundraisers and a work weekend that resulted in cement under new and better accommodations for some of our dogs to get them out of the mud.

They are an amazing team, hard-working and mission focused. Thank you, thank you for all you have done for us! And thank you for all you do for rural shelters, rescues and dogs!

I help dogs from shelters find their foster or forever homes through social media. It has become a struggle and we are unable to keep up. Who will let the dogs out has been amazing at helping shelters and rescues. Most people don’t know about the problem and they are great at raising awareness. I’m proud to be a part of the team. ❤️

This is a great organization that really advocates for shelters and rescues especially those in rural areas with a lack of support/funding. They come up with great ideas for them and help them to adopt and save more dogs. All of the volunteers really care about the dogs and helping these people who commit their lives to them.

I have been a volunteer with this organization for several months now, and the dedication and kindness of other volunteers and board members absolutely inspires me. They truly care about their mission to help every single dog find a loving home. This is a wonderful organization that brings to light all the problems that underfunded shelters and rescues experience, as well as inspiring stories about those who work hard to save lives against all odds.

I’ve been following the tireless road trips to places unknown to which WALDO arrived sharing supplies and much needed exposure to our Southern shelters… good and bad. I have enjoyed being able to help from afar by donating pet supplies and purchasing fundraising calendars . Such a beautiful and compassionate group! Dogs lives are being changed for the better because of WALDO.

The love and dedication to being an advocate for shelters in rural areas where attention is so difficult to get is priceless. The support and attention is so welcome to those who give so fully and selflessly to our most wonderful of creatures.

This is an amazing nonprofit whose mission is to raise awareness for homeless animals. They don't just talk the talk but walk the walk with their boots-on-the-ground visits to shelters, mostly in the South where education and awareness is the key to reducing overpopulation and neglect. Their social media presence is widespread and helps educate the uninitiated to the problem and assists those they visit by providing supplies and exposure. They ask for donations in a low-key way with explanations for why they need what they need.
