Love Whimpers to Wags Rescue! We have two that we rescued from them. Riley first and then Angel (also known as Flower). Great addition to our family as we lost two within a year of each other. Healthy, well taken care of. Highly recommend this incredibly loving rescue.
Don’t wait, rescue today!
Whimpers to Wags helped me from the start to adopt Sky. Kay kept in contact, made sure Sky was healthy, and upon adoption, gifted me and Sky with many pet products: poop bags, quilt, harness, leash, fleece, bed, bandana, crate . . .too many things to list. She was an amazing foster mom; Sky clearly loves her dearly. I know I can contact them whenever I need to, even after the adoption.
I began fostering with Whimpers to Wags because it was evident they are passionate and dedicated in all they do. They are consistently appreciative I have opened my home to help in their efforts to rescue dogs in need. They are always available to answer any of my questions and offer support when needed. Through fostering with WtW, I have seen first hand that they take great care of all of the dogs they rescue, ensuring their rescues receive all of their veterinary needs, as well as all of the love, patience, and individualized care the dogs deserve. Whimpers to Wags puts great effort and care into both placing dogs in foster homes and their forever homes!
We are the proud parents of 2 pups from Whimpers to Wags. One straight out adoption, one “Foster Fail.” They specialize in small dogs, who I believe are rescued from shelters that do not have a no kill policy. So, you may very well be their last hope. It is my experience that the women who run this put the dogs first and take care of urgent health issues, as well as spay and neuter them prior to offering them for adoption. For this reason, their adoption fee is a real bargain I don’t know how they stay in business. Until I got involved with this rescue I swore I would never have a small dog. Now, the two I adopted from them enrich my life every day. I won’t leave you hanging with the Forster Fail. They had la tiny abused Long Hair Chihuahua that only had one good eye, and was a biter because of her abusive past. My wife and I thought we could work with such a dog and get her ready for someone who could overlook the bad eye and could continue to work on her fear/trust issues. After a period of time when they called and asked if we were ready to put her out there, I was like “Fight me, this dog ain’t going nowhere.” She is so sweet. Give them a shot if you are considering an adoption. If not, maybe send them a couple bucks, they do great work.
I love the ladies at Whimpers to Wags, they are so kind hearted and caring. We adopted our pup a while ago and I must say, they were wonderful through the entire adoption process! Not to mention, they have some of the most amazing dogs in their care.
Thank you so much! My baby boy (corgi/morkie) is the best dog ever.
I highly recommend Whimpers to Wags if your looking for a furry family member. ❤️
This is an Amazing non-profit organization that is run by a dedicated team who truly care about the animals, people, and work that they do. I was fortunate to adopt a sweet puppy who has been an amazing addition to our family and we love her so much. I would recommend going through the application process and adopting from here a thousand times over. Thanks again for everything!
We were hesitant to jump into finding a new little girl after losing our pom at almost 16 years old. When we saw Bunny on pet finder with Whimpers to Wags Rescue, I was nervous even filling out the application, but there’s plenty of room to write out exactly your experiences and feelings about their questions. It felt good seeing some of the more specific questions about what life would be like for a new dog in your home because you could tell the people on the other side of that application truly wanted to know and understand so they could know if the dog in question could be happy and successful with you. After the application, I received a receipt email immediately and was called within about 48 hours for an initial chat. From there we did a quick virtual home tour and set up a meet and greet with our other dogs (3 boys) to see if everyone would get along, just one week after submitting the application. Once we saw our boys and her would do well, we were able to bring her home that day with the knowledge that if anything went wrong with them together we could contact Kaye or Terri for help and try again! Luckily for us, Bunny has fit right in and we’ve shared photographs with the rescue just to show how well everything’s been because they really care! She is absolutely the perfect little sassy girl we needed and I can’t say enough good things about these lovely people running this rescue. Thank you!!
These are such amazing people with huge hearts! They really want to find the right home for each sweet furbaby. You can feel the warmth when you walk into the foster home. I am so grateful to have found them and now Koda is my furbaby!
This non-profit dog rescue is amazing! I adopted one dog, Serena and fostered a couple others, They take care of each and every one of the dogs and ensure they are properly cared for (medical, training, etc). When the dogs come into the rescue, they are usually scared, undernourished and just need some love.....THESE FOLKS GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEED! If you are looking to adopt or foster...this is the place to go!
My husband and I like many people were looking for a dog during the pandemic. We lost our pup of 13 years 6 months earlier and we’re ready to share our home with another. We applied to numerous rescues, several never responded, one outright lied about a dog’s availability and we were very frustrated.
I found Rocco (aka Jordy) one evening on Petfinder, wrote to inquire, filled out the application and got a response the next morning, met him that afternoon, he stayed the weekend and we adopted on Sunday.
The efficiency and compassion during this process was a refreshing experience. He sleeps on his blanket, uses his toy box and seat belt to this day. He has been a great companion, travel partner and addition to our home.
We moved to Florida last year , he is enjoying a huge fenced yard, wants nothing to do with the pool and living his best life! Thank you!
We could not be happier with our experience! The team is thorough and their love for their rescues is evident!!
We were looking for a new dog to love. Wags to Whimpers found us the perfect addition to our family. They gave him love until we were able to find him. I cannot recommend this rescue more. Amazing people.
As a Board Member and occasional foster parent, we love the support we receive from our community. Sno came in with ribs & backbone showing. She needed a foster home and was scheduled for a surgery for a spay, dental work (7 teeth removed) and removal of 8 mammary tumors. She's an incredibly sweet dog. Once healed, she needed yet another surgery on both of her hind knees as she had particularly bad patella issues. She can finally do a real 'sit' and can go for a long walk without pain. Throughout that time, we received donations from amazing supporters to help pay for these surgeries as well as amazing care from veterinarians & physical therapists. It really does take a village! Sno is thriving & is doing AMAZING in her forever home! Healthy, happy & loved.
As many others did, we were looking for a dog fall of 2020 having lost one in May. We applied to many, many rescues to only be frustrated by no responses or unavailable pups. I found ours on Petfinder with a link to WTW on a Thursday evening, asked a couple questions and had a response the next day, filled out the application and got a call Friday afternoon with a meet that day. They left him with us for the weekend to make sure we were a match. Of course we fell in love within hours and signed the paperwork that Sunday. Jordy became Rocco that day. He is everything we wanted in a pup, a great traveler, he has been with us from Florida to California, lived in an rv for several months, stayed in hotels, visited restaurants and always with great manners and his own fun personality.
