I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Wheelchairs for Warriors, a dedicated organization committed to providing custom fit mobility to our Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) who have been injured in the line of duty. Their mission is clear, and they work diligently to raise awareness and money to help as many Veterans and LEO as possible.
As a daughter of a Vietnam veteran, I deeply appreciate the vital role Wheelchairs for Warriors plays in helping Veterans when organizations like the VA fails them. Too often, our heroes fall thru the cracks and are neglected after their many years of service. Wheelchairs for Warriors ensures "No man left behind" is their commitment and promise to those who have sacrificed life and limb for us. I have witnessed their dedication in attending numerous fundraisers and local organizational meetings in an effort to raise money.
Organizations like Wheelchairs for Warriors exist because our Veterans and LEO are not getting the help they need and deserve. Their work is essential to the Veteran and LEO community. They love what they do and it shows.

Wheelchairs for Warriors does what healthcare providers fail to do. They go above and beyond to ensure our veterans and first responders get the help they need and DESERVE. They take measurements to custom fit the veteran for a wheelchair and provides a chair that is best suited for daily living and enhances their life (ie - sports chair, terrain chair for hunting, etc.). The process from start to finish is handled with the utmost care and timeliness.
When I learned about Wheelchairs for Warriors & their mission, I knew I had to do whatever I could to help our heroes who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. God bless Wheelchairs for Warriors for the incredible work they are doing for our brave men & women. I encourage anyone who's able, to support this life changing cause. Our heroes deserve nothing less. Plus they also have awesome swag for purchase.
I was first introduced to Wheelchairs for Warriors when I had the privilege of interviewing Crystal Lee Laramore, the passionate Founder and Executive Director, on a livestream podcast. From the moment we began speaking, I felt an immediate and deep connection to the mission of this incredible organization.
Wheelchairs for Warriors fills a heartbreaking gap—providing custom-fit mobility solutions for our heroes to regain their independence and live fuller lives. The fact this organization exists to meet this need is truly a gift from above. Their dedication to meeting the unique needs of veterans and first responders injured in the line of duty is inspiring. It's clear that this organization was born out of love, care, and a determination to serve those who have sacrificed so much for us.
Their mission doesn’t just address a need—it restores dignity, independence, and hope for these brave men and women. Seeing how Wheelchairs for Warriors provides such life-changing support, it’s hard not to feel moved by their work. They are not just delivering wheelchairs... they are restoring freedom.
We have had the pleasure of working with them on many projects and are so thrilled to be part of an organization that truly assists our heroes in a most impactful way. We have also studied their 990's and it's not very ofter you run across a non-profit with such impressive numbers! Eighty-eight cents of every dollar goes straight into their program! We are pleased to have joined the mission!
One of the greatest nonprofit organizations that I have ever known and greatly managed. It is the only organization that I have worked with in the last 10 years and look forward to working with them more. It raises funds for the veterans that really need it and really have helped our country. I hope we find a way to raise more funds faster to help more and more disabled veterans throughout America! I can’t wait to help this organization more this year!!
Crystal and Heidi really have a passion for helping injured veterans and first responders gain back their independence by designing and engineering customized wheelchairs. This organization has helped hundreds of people in TX and across the US. They are a worthy foundation!
Great non-profit, great staff, great mission. They really care about people and helping injured veterans and first responders with mobility issues.
Knowing Crystal Laramore very well, I can tell you that every fiber in her body is all about helping wounded vets in every way, especially by providing them with a way to literally live their everyday lives by raising funds to have wheelchairs made that are individually personalized for each heroes unique needs. This non-profit program provides one of these amazing wounded heroes with a way to keep living out their lives in the best possible way after suffering serious life-altering injuries or illnesses. This team works extremely hard to be at events throughout America, raising awareness of the lifestyle changes and struggles these heroes endure then works hard at getting communities involved to be a part of making a difference for others through education, volunteering, social media presence, and more. Get involved. You won't be sorry!

The passion and love that goes into every one of these personally designed wheelchairs will truly bring you to tears. This isn't about just the wheelchairs being delivered to these amazing veterans, it's about the hope that comes from these wheelchairs to someone whose livelihood and quality of life improves drastically because of this organization. The time, effort, and love for these veterans that this organization devotes is truly remarkable. They are blessing so many lives and doing God's work. It's a beautiful story indeed...
Great working with co-founders Crystal and Heidi that eat, sleep and breath the mission of providing custom-fit, complex-rehab mobility solutions to first responders and veterans injured in the line of duty. These custom wheelchairs transform lives!
Wheelchairs for Warriors, or W4W as I refer to them, changed not only my life but my wife’s life as well.
We had become shut-ins long before Covid. I started the process to get a wheelchair from the VA (which I still haven’t received btw) in 2017.
Like many people with spinal injuries, I can walk very short distances but doing something like walking through the airport, mall or even from the parking lot into the movie theater was beyond my capabilities.
My wife and I purchased a wheelchair, however, lifting it into our vehicle was nearly impossible for us. The chair weighed about 55 pounds and was bulky and cumbersome to disassemble.
That’s when W4W stepped in. Founders Heidi Hansing and Crystal Laramore are both friends of mine and had been offering their services for years. Like many Veterans, I felt ashamed to ask for help.
Finally after my mother’s cancer took a turn for the worst, I reached out and asked for help. Crystal and her team were at our home the next day and within a month I had my ultra-lightweight wheelchair made from titanium and carbon fiber.
Because of generous donors, Wheelchairs for Warriors fills the gap that should be filled by the VA. Unfortunately the VA is a massive bureaucracy that is well intentioned but often ineffective.
Since 1990, the United States has created two generations of combat veterans, many with unexplained, unimaginable illnesses. It’s up to us to take care of them and that’s why I’m not only a recipient but I’m also a longtime donor.

Making a difference, everyday.... Helping those who made this Country great through their service and sa
This is an amazing charity run by wonderful people. I have donated money in the past and will continue to donate to this great cause.

I have donated money and been involved with fundraisers that Wheelchairs For Warriors have put on. They are truly changing lives. It is so amazing to see how their help is what it takes for these veterans to have the live they need with their families. The wheelchairs are truly life changing. Thank you W4W for helping fellow veterans!!!
The Wheelchairs For Warriors vision to support our most vulnerable veterans is a cause I love to stand behind. They bring hope to hopeless situations. The joy that is spread to the veterans and their families gives me chills every time I see another veteran receive their custom wheelchair. Another great aspect of WFW is that 88% goes to the actual program. I personally know the people behind the program and they are some of the most honest and caring people I know. This is a top-notch charity.
Wheelchairs is one of the most impactful non-profits I have ever been associated with. When one considers what a life changing experience it is for someone to get back their mobility with a custom wheelchair. The recipients of the custom chairs are those that sacrificed everything to keep us safe. WFW gives these folks back their mobility and just as important their dignity.
I don't know what we would have done without them! They helped save our marriage! Love them and all that they do for my husband and other disabled vets.
A great nonprofit that I have had the pleasure of working with for the last 2 years. They deeply care about our veterans and their well-being, and I am proud to have been able to assist them in any way I could, and hopefully can continue to in the future.
I have witnessed Wheelchairs for Warriors since the very beginning. Crystal’s and Heidi’s commitment to serving our veterans and first responders is patriotisms at its best.
Our daughter serves as one of the Goodwill Ambassadors helping to raise funds to all those deserving!
Proud to be a part of this!
My father was an Army veteran in a wheelchair and had a very hard time getting assistance from the VA. By the time he finally got a power wheelchair, he died 3 months later. Then the VA wouldn't even take it back bc they said it was used. What a waste! I volunteer for Wheelchairs for Warriors bc they take care of our veterans when the VA will not, AND they refurbish wheelchairs that others donate to them! What a great all-around non-profit. Also, i like the fact they also serve first responders!
W4W's is everything a non-profit should be. The leadership team works tirelessly raising funds for Warriors in need of specialty wheelchairs due to the nature of their injuries. The funds raised/donated are focused and impactful. I've attended hundreds of galas over the years and the W4W's Warrior Weekend was hands down, the best one to date. The best because they didn't use the money on frivolous decor, fancy ballrooms, party favors, etc. The event space was beautiful and modestly decorated. We knew that the money we were raising, and donating was going exactly where it should be . . . into building specialized wheelchairs for our Warriors. It was the most fun packed into 3 days of honoring our Heroes and making lifelong friends.
I highly recommend Wheelchairs For Warriors and everything they stand for as an organization. If you are looking for a non-profit to support, consider helping those that served our country and came home needing our help!
Wheelchairs for Warriors is a top -notch non-profit organization serving our veterans and their needs. Many may not see the importance of our veterans who served their country
to receive customized wheelchairs specific to their individual needs but they definitely do. To see the look on the faces of these warriors once they are gifted their wheelchair is priceless.
Everyone looking to support our veterans look no further than Wheelchairs for Warriors. Not only do they roll strong they deliver on their word.

I have been volunteering with Wheelchairs for Warriors now for about 10 months. I have been amazed at the drive and determination I have seen by the co-founders: Crystal Laramore and Heidi Hansing. Their desire to provide help to Veterans and First Responders is deep within their soul. It is clear on the faces of the recipients of wheelchairs and adaptive devices this organization is making a difference!! It is providing an opportunity for those that gave so much to our country to find freedom to pursue a new life and passion while living with the disability they now face.
I have been working with Crystal, Heidi, and the Wheelchairs For Warriors team for three plus years helping them set up and maintain their accounting system and budgets. It has been a joy to help them carefully track how they tirelessly serve each of their Warriors! Their dedication and love for what they do is inspirtional! Over the course of these years they have built a fledgling non-profit into a strong young eagle whose mission is to give their warriors mobility, dignity, and a fuller life! It is my privilege to work with them and in some small way help serve those deserving warriors.
I had the pleasure of meeting Crystal Laramore about a year ago. I was so blown away by her commitment to our Veterans. I have seen what joy she brings to this warriors who paid such a high price for our freedom. It warms my heart that they are taken care of because of someone's selfless sacrifice. Crystal and I have become friends over the last year and I see how much she pours her heart and soul into this. She is a shining example of what it means to be an American and I am proud to know her and call her my friend. I have given generously to WFW and I will continue to as I know that my donation goes to very deserving people and the people involved are great stewards of my generosity.
I am the guy featured in the video above … wheelchairs for warriors came to my aid when I needed it.
Watching Wheelchairs for Warriors from it's inception has been like riding a rocket ship! The vision with which the leaders started came to fruition after much hard work and organization. It has blossomed into a one-of-a-kind service to veterans and first responders. To have your freedom returned via a wheelchair is something one must see firsthand in order to truly appreciate. Life begins with movement and WfW gives the recipients the ability to move about, even play wheelchair basketball! It gives them their lives back, which is an invaluable gift! There is never a cost to the recipient! The chairs are given all over the USA! My most favorite charity!
We have witnessed WFW grow into a top-notch charity that serves some of the most deserving in our society - those who were willing to give their all for others. WFW staff have hearts full of desire to make lives better for these deserving individuals and do so in their own selfless serving ways. We don’t have to wonder where our donations to WFW will go. We see it in the improved lives and renewed joy of those WFW has helped.
An amazing non profit organization! Wheelchairs for Warriors is a caring, compassionate organization committed to helping the needs of our wounded veterans making a huge impact on their daily lives. I am proud to share my feelings and support!
The passion this organization put into everyone of its productions would bring you to tears!!! I’ve never met anyone who cared about veterans or what they’re doing to change lives more than crystal.
Wheelchairs for Warriors is a caring, compassionate organization committed to helping the needs of our wounded veterans making a huge impact on their daily lives.
It is an honor and privilege to support this incredible organization and the work they do.
I have seen Wheelchairs for Warriors time and time again support our military community by providing a much needed service for daily living. The team goes over and beyond to provide custom wheelchairs for our warriors. Donate to support them as there are many waiting for a chair!
As the daughter of a WW2 veteran and the mother of veterans, I have the utmost admiration and respect for the men and women who've given their all for our country. No one deserves more than those who've made the unspeakable sacrifice to secure our great freedoms. I love giving whatever I can to this honorable organization who sees to it that every dime is utilized for a fine custom built set of wheels to aid these heroes through their days. I can think of no other group who deserves our support more than Wheelchairs for Warriors!
I have followed this group from it's beginning. They are dedicated to helping veterans live better lives. I highly recommend them and support them.
Wheelchairs for Warriors are changing the lives of our American Heroes everyday. It's one thing to hear all the amazing stories from everyone but to witness these veterans receive their customized wheelchairs is truly a heartfelt experience. There is never a dry eye in the room. After meeting these incredible warriors spearheading this one of a kind organization, I was on board and adopted them to champion for as I urge others to do as well. While others may take walking for granted, the loving and caring people at Wheelchairs for Warriors make it their daily mission by being the voice for our heroes that were unfortunately injured while serving and no longer have use of their legs and need more than a basic wheelchair.
Great job Wheelchairs for Warriors so honored to know there is still good in the world.
This is the most legitimate non profit out there. My husband and I are honored to support the mission of WFW. Every step of the process, from vetting the potential recipient to the meticulous care/detail that goes into each chair exceeds all expectations. Our veterans deserve everything WFW lovingly gifts them AND MORE!!!
I have the honor/pleasure to be able to be a #jointhemission of this incredible non-profit charity...unlike most ...ALL donations from the public goes straight towards a wheelchair for a Warrior.I have watched the great men /women receive their custom-made wheelchair live on stream as they were presented their chair..it gives you goose-bumps you can feel the thrill of excitement from these Warriors that so deserve everything we can help them with. I know first hand how difficult and hard it is to care for a loved one that is in a wheelchair. The reg everyday wheelchairs do not allow freedom for the person in it/or the person out of it taking care of the person in it...regaining the basics daily activities we take for granted..gives them their lives back literally..it changes these families lives. They can now have THEIR FREEDOM BACK! Their life outside now is reachable without struggles...the Warrior and the Care-Warrior can have more of their lives back and enjoy living without always struggling..it is just beyond amazing what these one of a kind custom wheelchairs achieves.Come and see for yourself just how many lives are given back to these wonderful men/women who gave US their sacrifice.Wheelchairs For Warriors it is an honor to see y'all work your magic and give back to these men/women...THANK YOU for all y'all do.
Wheelchairs for Warriors does great work. I love following the stories of those they've helped and it's clear W4W make an outsized impact on veterans and their families. So glad that we have someone out there taking care of those who have served!
I have been a volunteer and advocate for Wheelchairs for Warriors for almost 3 years. As I Military Mom I love what this organization does for our wounded heroes. Not just with the wheelchair but adding to their morale and empowerment. Love being q part of the WFW team.
Wheelchairs For Warriors is an incredible organization that makes a huge impact on the lives of wounded veterans and first responders. The importance of their work and effectiveness of their outreach cannot be understated. This is an organization that truly leads the way in ensuring these heroes get the care they deserve.

I have been volunteering for Wheelchairs For Warriors for 3 1/2 years and can tell you unequivocally that no one cares more or works harder for these veterans that have somehow slipped through the cracks of care at the VA. W4W fills in the gaps between what veterans DESERVE and what they are actually afforded through the system. It is an honor to serve our veterans in this way.
Finally a Charity that really supports our disabled warriors with REAL needs. I love these guys and I give every year. I also chose them as my preferred charity on Amazon.
Your program is admirable, can you tell me what percent of $1 goes direct to those in need?
Thanks,
Auntie Soshul

Hello! We appreciate your interest and want you to know that 100% of individual donations go into a wheelchair, we pay our overhead from grants. To drill down a little further and encompass ALL giving (our overall annual budget) our Program:Admin split in 2020 was 85:15. Hope this helps.

We are so thrilled to know we can count on your consistent support. And it means so much, knowing you are a veteran, and have so many options to give, and you trust us with your donations.
