Causes: Emergency Medical Services & Transport, Health
Mission: To provide the town of wethersfield with emergency medical services. The services shall include but are not limited to: 1)emergency medical services and ambulance transport for anyone in the town of wethersfield who requires such emergency assistance. 2)emergency first aid facilities when requested by the police and/or fire departments. 3)assistance to neighboring communities in time of need. 4)standby service, as requested, for such venues as town fairs, football games, fire department training, etc.
Programs: Patient billings - provides emergency medical service to the town of wethersfield when requested by any authorized individual within the wetherfield police or fire division. Emergency and non-emergency standby service is also provided whenever required by the town of wethersfield. Responded to 984 calls.
emt & cpr training - provides annual basic, advanced, and refresher training courses for emergency medical technicians. Cpr/aed certification courses are also provided annually. Provided courses to 50 individuals.
