Programs: Western sustainability exchange has been promoting sustainable agriculture for 20 years. Wse's market connection program has trained over 740 farmers and ranchers about sustainable techniques and, as a result, over 940,000 acres of agricultural land and open space are being managed sustainably today. The market connection program connects producers using sustainable stewardship practices to our network of chefs, caterers, concessionaires and grocers who are passionate about local, sustainably produced food. To date wse has opened markets for over 130 producers. Programs within market connection include montana farm to restaurant connection, farmers market, harvest celebration, steer-to-steak, young entrepreneurial stewardship and others.
