Causes: Arts & Culture, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: Provide symphonic, chamber and choral concerts to audiences in the west suburbs of chicago.
Programs: The society operated three orchestras and a symphonic chorus in the 2016-17 season and presented seven public concerts that drew over 3,300 audience members. These concerts were presented by more than 200 musicians, primarily volunteers, in convenient suburban chicago locations with tickets priced affordably for seniors and families.
the society continued its tradition of outreach to youth through a day of educational concerts that attracted nearly 1,500 schoolchildren in october 2016 and operation of a solo competition for high school musicians, with the winners performing in the orchestra's public concert in april 2017.
