Mission: Develop programs for business-education partnership
Programs: Create a customer service training tool for improving customer service to people with disabilities. The project benefited over 4,400 area business owners, employers, and the customers with disabilities that they serve.
business/education partnership provides a mechanism through which the schools and local businesses can foster new learning experience to heighten students' awareness of opportunities in local businesses and organizations and to promote business participation in the education of future employees and consumers.
employalliance is a partnership with ladse/division of special education vocational alliance to help build employment capacity in area communities for people with disabilities.
business/education partnership provides a mechanism through which schools and local businesses can foster new learning experiences; to heighten students' awareness of opportunities in local businesses and organizations; and to promote business participation in the education of future employees and consumers. Community computer drive is a recycling program whereby donations of old and used computer equipment are accepted. Equipment is subsequently sold to a nonprofit organization that updates the equipment and provides it to needy schools and families that apply for assistance. Career fair is co-sponsored with the high school to give students an exposure to different careers by inviting different a variety of speakers to talk about their professions. Nonprofit resource council provides a forum for local nonprofits to share common goals, increase community awareness of programs, services and volunteer opportunities, and strengthens the partnership between nonprofits and the local business community.
