I have been a member for almost 10 years, President for a little over 3 years. The reason I got involved is simple. All the money that is raised goes to every woman in West Islip and on Long Island in the areas where there are no Coalitions. It is a totally volunteer organization and none of the Board Members get paid. There are no big administrative salaries!
The reward is to help these women, and men, to make their time going through this difficult time, is payment enough for all of us. If it was not for the most generous community we would not be able to do such wonderful things. I urge you to join us and see what wonderful things we do for the community.

I personally got involved when several of my very close friends got Breast Cancer. I began by just helping the organization get prizes for raffles to raise money for the Lend A Helping Hand program. Which is a program that provides services to women going through Breast Cancer, such as wigs, prosthesis, house cleaning, food, medical copayments, etc. I seen how my friends were financially suffering by not working, which added stress to their lives while receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment. I was then invited to join the board and I took over running the major fundraiser for the Coalition each year and it has been growning since then. I am now President of the Coalition and I am striving to raise as much money as possible to aid the cause. We make sure that all the money we raise stays right here in our local community to fund the services needed. The Board members are all non paid volunteers. Winning this giveaway would enable us to help even more breast cancer patients, making their lives a little easier. Please write a favorable review for us... Thank you!

I have been involved with this organization for a short time now and in only a short time, I have seen great things. This organization has touched more people's lives in a short time than most connect with in a lifetime. They are a wonderful group of people whose only concern is helping others.

I became involved with this wonderful group after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. They were there to support me and provide direction and help answer questions. I felt I needed to give back and be helpful to anyone else who was going through what I went through. This volunteer group works so hard to raise funds to use to help people with our Lend a Helping Hand program. Our concern is to help our neighbors right here and try to ease any issues they are going through. We are here for you!!
