Mission: To support other nonprofit Lutheran educational organizations by raising funds through a thrift store.
Results: Annually, we donate between $175,000 and $200,000.
Target demographics: provide funding to a Lutheran High School; Christian pregnancy counseling center; prison, hospital, and college campus ministries in the Twin Cities and Rochester, MN
Direct beneficiaries per year: provide tuition assistance to 120 students to attend a Lutheran High School; $8,000 to purchase diapers for low-income mothers; and dozens of prison inmates and hospital patients who received visits from a Lutheran pastor
Geographic areas served: Buffalo, MN; Wright County, MN; and the western Twin Cities suburbs
Programs: The organization raises funds through the operation of a thrift store which sells donated goods. The thrift store activities are conducted through the use of volunteer services. The receipts of the sales of donated items supports other nonprofit organizations in the community.
