I have served as a volunteer and on the executive board for 12 years. I am now serving as co-CEO alongside my husband, founder and co-CEO. Wells of Life is providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene training along with the gospel to rural villages in Uganda. We are also collaborating with our youth in developing the servant leader heart and connecting with churches, schools, businesses and families to accomplish this great need. The company operates in full transparency and continues to collaborate with other water organizations to help everyone play a role in solving the world water crisis.
Wells of Life is a great blessing to the world. Not only have they provided clean water to over a million people, but they have provided inspiration to local youth. Wells of Life goes beyond providing clean water, and also gives Ugandan communities education on sanitation, including menstrual hygiene. I have had the pleasure of volunteering for Wells of Life for nearly a year, and I have been blessed with the greatest feeling that comes from giving.

Wells of Life is doing God’s work. My husband Nick is the founder and CEO. We have now funded over 1,000 new and restored wells in Jesus’s name, bringing clean water to over 1,000 people in Uganda. We have a full staff in Uganda and a small staff in the US and Ireland as well as a very passionate and effective board of directors. Our WASH program which features the Jesus Film further engages the self sufficiency of the communities while also bringing living water and support to the religious leaders. Our comprehensive impact reports and transparency are key. Our donor relationships are as important as the water as we seek to encourage community and collaboration in solving the world water crisis.
I love Wells of Life!!! It is my favorite non profit and I am so glad to have helped them throughout the years.
What a wonderful organization!!! Water, we take it for granted, but what if we didn’t have any clean water to drink? Michelle Danly runs a wonderful group of dedicated people. She is well organized, thoughtful, and dedicated to bringing water to those in need.
I have loved my experience with Wells of Life!! It has really encouraged me to become a better person and help others! It is so heartwarming to see the impact we are able to make for people in Uganda!
One of my best choices ever to volunteer for this non-profit. All of the staff care deeply about the cause and go leaps and bounds to create a culture of selflessness and giving. I would recommend anyone to get involved and learn more about their story and work.
The people who work at Wells of Life are truly amazing people. It is definitely evident that the staff love what they do and believe in this purpose.
WOL is a wonderful non-profit organization that helps the people in rural Uganda have access to clean water. They help the people in the villages with a healthy village program, teaching them healthy water practices. We are blessed to be part of this great organization and have a small part in helping others in need.

Our daughter Gianna has been involved with the Wells of Life organization for the past 7 years. She has helped raise enough money to build and restore a total of 12 wells so far. She is very committed to this cause because she wants young girls to have the opportunity to attend school and for families to have access to clean water in order to live healthier lives. Wells of Life is a wonderful non-profit organization and is passionate about what they do. One amazing aspect is that all donations raised go 100% towards the wells. Also as a donor they provide photos of your well and the people who you are helping.
Wells of Life is doing such meaningful work, changing lives by bringing water to these towns in Uganda. The people at WOL are so committed, and every dollar you pledge to build a well is used for exactly that purpose. This is a very sincere group of people who want to continue to make a difference, and I have never felt as moved as I did when I saw pictures of the children when a new well started to generate water!
We started donating to Wells of Life because a friend was involved with them. Once we saw the great work they were doing, we bought a well ourselves. We have been invited to travel to Africa to see our well in person. Wells of Life sent us a photo book of the dedication ceremony that took place to celebrate the opening of our well. Very pleased with the work they are doing and the follow up for donors to see first hand how their donations are making a difference.
Thank you to Wells Of Life for helping people to get clean fresh water. This something we take for granted. I would also like to say having a memorial well keeps the life of a lost one alive forever. It brings happiness to everyone involved to see the smiles on the villagers faces. Thank you to Nick Jordan and all the staff that make this happen.
This is my favorite charity to support. They provide you with direct feedback on who you are specifically helping with your donation in the form of a picture book. It is filled with pictures from the village where your well is installed, that you can keep on your coffee table. Looking at the happy faces of the kids and adults reveling in clean water will change your life.
As important as the new wells, they also have the infrastructure to provide regular repair and maintenance for wells. It is an essential, on going investment to make sure the gift of clean water and improved health continues to be provided for many years after it's initial introduction.
WOL are very good stewards of the funds they receive, accomplishing dramatic results with every dollar. I wish we would have found them years ago.
We were introduced to Wells of Life when a friend invited us to the gala in 2021. When we saw how well run the program is, and that you could buy a well for a whole community for $8,000, we were sold! There is a lot more to their program than just wells. They go into villages and teach the families about sanitation and hygiene. They build latrines, restore old wells, and teach the communities how to take care of their wells. They are saving so many Ugandan lives every day. Since the girls don’t have to fetch water from dirty ponds any more, they can now go to school. When they have clean water, they don’t get sick as much either. If you are looking for a way to help this world, Wells of Life manages your donations very responsibly and works hard to keep expenses down. We highly recommend Wells of Life and are proud supporters.
Wells of Life goes above and beyond in their efforts to provide clean water to people in Uganda. When I first discovered the organization, I was so impressed by their transparency. They deeply care about their donors, ensuring that they know exactly where their donation is going at all times. Now I get to work for the organization and it is a really exciting time. We are continuing to grow, expanding our reach to an even greater number of villages than ever before. I am excited to see where the future takes us. We get to play an integral role in putting an end to the global water crisis. It is life changing work.
Wells of Life is doing outstanding work in Uganda, bringing precious water through new and restored wells to people who must walk long distances every day to retrieve a couple buckets of water that often isn't safe to drink. Every well helps the community in so many ways ,including better health and enabling girls to attend school rather than fetching water for the family every day. The best part of Wells of Life is that a special group of donors pay all the administrative and fundraising costs, so that every dollar contributed by the rest of us goes directly to Uganda to provide precious, life-giving water. The staff at Wells are so kind and appreciative, including Nick Jordan, it's founder, who calls donors to personally thank them. Wells of Life is the BEST!!!
I've been an avid supporter of Wells of Life since its inception. I believe in the cause and believe in the people running the organization. Helping to provide clean water to the people of Uganda has been a blessing!
The fact that the charity is doing a beautiful thing goes without saying. What makes Wells of Life so special is that every dollar donated specifically for the purpose of building a well goes exactly for that...not salaries or admin or fundraising. I don't know how they accomplish that. But, I know that it means that the impact of my donation is very real and very personal to the people I am hoping to help.
I'm so impressed that 100% of all my contributions to Wells of LIfe have gone to providing water wells for villages needing clean water. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that you can really make a difference in the lives of women and young children who can be freed from the difficult work of hauling water from distant sources. I gave a well in my son's name for his Christmas present and someday we hope to visit it.
Wells of Life is the Best Charity I have ever been involved with. They are cost effective, passionate and save thousands of lives!! This organization is doing work that is so very meaningful and important.
This a wonderful non-profit that my family has supported for years. We have always been touched by how truly sincere Wels of Life is regarding their mission of providing clean water to Uganda and the world.
I have been volunteering with Wells of Life since 2015. When I say it is a phenomenal organization, I am not understating my feelings! Over the years, I have met the founder, advisory board, board of directors, employees, other volunteers and some of the benefactors of their work and I can't say enough good things about any of them! Everyone is so hard-working and dedicated to the mission or providing clean water and good hygiene to the people in Uganda who need it to survive. I traveled to Uganda with the Wells of Life team in 2018 and I visited one of the wells I funded and met the people in the community it serves. That was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! (see picture attached). Everything Wells of Life does is for the good of the people of Uganda. If you want to see a extraordinary charity in action, get involved with Wells of Life! My life has been forever changed with the experiences I've enjoyed through my involvement with them! Thank you, Wells of Life for all the blessings you've shared with me!
Wells of Life is making a massive impact by bringing clean safe drinking water to those in need. They are an organization of integrity and excellence. They communicate clearly and follow through consistently on their big vision and plans. They've developed productive partnerships to make a lasting difference as they dig wells. Lastly, they do it all to display the love of Christ. They are the hands and feet of Jesus, living and bringing the Good News.
Wells of Life is a great non-profit, run by people with big hearts! I went on a trip to Africa with them to see the well that was dug with funds I had donated. It was a wonderful experience. The people on the ground in Uganda are upstanding, honest people and they have relationships with the drilling company. This is important because the price is set for drilling a well and they guarantee to drill until they find water. Great people, great organization, great cause. They don't waste the money that is donated to them. You should be confident in giving to this organization.
We contributed to Wells of Life (WOL) by funding the drilling of a well in Uganda. The well was installed in a village where it would make a big difference in the lives of the people in the area. The women and girls no longer had to travel for miles to get water. Also, the well water was drinkable, rather than having to be boiled. Now, the girls can attend school, the women can spend more time with their families, as you can imagine. Wells of Life also provided a photo book showing the completed well and the people affected by our contribution. The people at WOL care about those they help and those who give. They exceed all expectations.
Wells of Life is one of my wife and my main nonprofit organizations (after our church). We had no idea of how great the need is for clean water. We've been donating since 2016. First, we donated, with family and friends, for a well in memory of my beloved mother-in-law. We appreciate that 100% of all donations for a well are used for that purpose. There is separate funding for the "operational" expenses. More recently we have contributed to this funding as well. The Wells of Life team has gotten to know us, and we feel a part of the team.
I have donated to many nonprofits over the years. Very few have given me a more tangible sense of actually making a difference in the life of another person as has Wells of Life. In fact, entire villages have been helped by the opportunity Wells of Life has given my family to help those in dire need. It is extremely gratifying. I cannot overstate my admiration and appreciation for the incredible work being done by Wells of Life.
I have personally been able to get ten clean water wells funded through Wells of Life to date. That means clean water and sanitation education to approximately 12,500 children and adults living in villages of Uganda, Africa. The mission of Wells of Life is the most life-saving and life- improving program I have ever worked with as a 24 year Rotarian volunteer. The children are now able to go to school instead of carrying contaminated water from ponds or streams with their mothers daily. The health of all villagers has been greatly improved as the result of the mission of Wells of Life in Uganda. The organization has completed approximately 700 wells wit the goal of completing over 1,000 by the close of 2022.

My wife and I made a major legacy donor gift to Wells of Life.Org (WOL). Subsequently I became an Ambassador for WOL and have caused the funding and construction through WOL of six new clean water wells in Uganda that are saving the lives of children and adults totaling approximately 8,000. WOL has completed over 500 new wells and is now also restoring non-functioning existing wells to provide clean potable water.
Uganda, one of the poorest of the African countries, is now battling the Covid -19 virus and WOL is providing masks and soap bars to clinics, hospitals and villagers along with sanitation education via a dedicated team of people implementing the "Wash Program" in Ugandan villages and schools. This is one of the most effective and faithful non-profit organizations I have had the honor to support!
My husband and I were looking for a good non-profit that drills wells for years. We own a small utility pipeline business, and it was especially important to my husband that we give some of that money to help people who needed water. We met Wells of Life at an event that featured several non-profits and instantly knew this was the one. Since then, we have gotten to know Nick Jordan and his wife Michelle and the team at Wells of Life as well as their donors and can say that we love what they are doing and trust them completely. We have recommended them to many of our friends and business associates who have also sponsored wells.
Wells of Life saves lives by providing clean water to remote villages in Uganda. There is nothing more powerful than to save lives. Additionally, Wells of Life provides teaching to the villages where they drill wells. Clean water and education translate into sustainable improvements in the villager's lives by allowing them to be more productive and healthy. The "ripple effect" of the gift of clean water reaches far and wide. I do not know of another charity that provides more impact per donor dollar than Wells of Life. Brad Brigham, retired.
Wells of Life does great work bringing clean water wells to those who do not have access to clean water. They are saving lives and helping children who previously had to walk miles to get dirty water, now attend school and get an education.
I have had an amazing experience volunteering for Wells of Life. Everyone is so friendly and nice. The work is manageable and interesting. My supervisor is so nice and helpful. She taught me a lot in understanding and learning more about social media and marketing. I'm happy with all the experience here at Wells of Life.
So far, my experience with Wells of Life has been phenomenal. Thank you to Nese for being the most amazing mentor through this process.
I am currently in charge of copywriting and curating deliverables that match the nonprofit message and overall mission. I have learned so much and can already say I have gained so many skills that I can take with me moving forward in my career.
Truly an excellent organization. WOL drills wells to provide clean water to rural areas. WOL's mission is clear and its organization has such transparency that I have no question about the impact that my contributions have.
WOL sheds light on a problem that more people need to be aware of. It was tough to hear the truth about how many people don't have access to something as basic as clean water. I can't help but want to do more to be part of the solution. I think this is exactly what really good charitable organization is supposed to do and how it should make you feel.
After my husband passed away in 2012, I was looking for a way to honor him. I heard about Wells for Life. So was able to donate a well in my husbands name. Wells of Life takes pictures of the each well when it’s completed, and you can read the plaque so you know they have installed it. A few years after it was completed one of the senior members of the charity visited our well and spoke to some women that were drawing water and asked if they knew the man whose name was on the plaque and they said they didn’t but that he must have been a very good man. It brought tears to my eyes when I was told this. I thank all the members of this charity for all their wonderful work.
I came across this nonprofit a year ago and I've been amazed by it ever since. I love how caring they are and how much they do for a community in Uganda that seems forgotten about. Everyone deserves to have clean water and it really sucks that some people aren't able to experience that in their lifetime. This nonprofit makes that possible by just donating $1 a day. The impact this has on the children and families in Uganda is tremendous. Even during the times of COVID, this nonprofit was able to distribute soap and masks to help stop the spread of the virus. I would definitely recommend this nonprofit for anyone looking to support!!
'Wells for Life' has made an exemplary example of giving back where giving back makes a HUGE difference in human life. Their delivery of soap and surgical masks during the COVID-19 lock-down has saved many lives in Uganda.
My experience working with Wells of Life, Inc. is most rewarding. Everyone at the organization, the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers work hard with commitment and passion to achieve its vision and mission to provide living water to rural Uganda. With the end in mind, the organization continually pursues to strengthen community involvement with donors and partners with the most professional courtesy.
Hi. I saw this wall hanging in an office suite, the photo is a boy collecting filthy water from some standing water. I was aghast! I took a photo of it (it is the photo I added here). NO HUMAN BEING should EVER HAVE TO BE subjected to that level of inhumanity. I found Wells Of Life thru researching clean water foundations and have been a Water Warrior for three years now. I don't even miss the $30/month that gets automatically deducted and I receive updates on a regular basis of how my donations help give these wonderful people access to clean drinking water. Wells Of Life is a fantastic nonprofit organization with very good people running their cause. I will continue investing in this Human Improvement Movement as long as possible.
Wells of Life builds wells in rural villages in Uganda. They work with local villages and have the full support of the Ugandan government. Wells saves lives since clean water is so important to health and hygiene. Wells of Life has both employees and volunteers who work in the area that they are serving. Each well is a beautiful picture of commitment and compassion in serving the community. Wells of Life works with each village to train them on the use, care and maintenance of their well. Many times the women in the village are the people who accept the responsibility since they see the benefit to their children. There is a empowerment to women and children when they literally are freed from the yoke of having to carry jugs of water from a river for much of each day.
The blessing goes both ways.
Any family, company, organization or individual who sponsors a well has directly impacted hundreds of lives in a positive and tangible way. Wells of Life is gracious in documenting the process of building each well. Sponsors receive a beautiful photo book that shows them the location of the well, photos of the well dedication and documents the thoughtful care that is invested to build a well that will last for decades.
I highly recommend supporting Wells of Life. Our business has sponsored two wells and our family has sponsored one well thru Wells of Life. We have seen the positive impact that a well brings to a community. The gift of water and the gift of a well is something that keeps on giving.
The nonprofit organization that I support is WELLS OF LIFE, founded by Nicholas Jordan, Irvine ,CA. It’s goal is to drill clean water wells for two of the poorest sections of Uganda, East Africa, Mubende and Mitsyana. My name is Sr. Joan Hogan, a Holy Faith Sister, and I was introduced to this wonderful work, and very urgent need by a young man named John. Together, we have called people forth to meet this necessary and BASIC NEED. We already have drilled 22 wells in 3-4 years, and saved hundreds of lives in rural Uganda. With God on our side,” All things are possible”. Why not join this necessary cause and be a life-giver to families, where 3 children DIE per MINUTE. This is shocking in this day and age. We can all do better, so I beg you to come on board, by going on line at wellsoflife.org. WOL have now drilled over 300 wells and included sanitation and hygiene. Hope to hear from you, contact# 562 212 6708

Sponsoring the drilling of a clean water well and then traveling to Uganda (both through Wells of Life) to see the village and people we were able to help was life-changing for my family. It was a truly humbling and powerful experience and we are so grateful for what this organization has done for the people of Uganda and those of us lucky enough to take part in its service.
I first met Nick Jordan, the founder of Wells Of Life, at a St. Patrick’s Day party in 2013. Since my full name is Peter Michael Patrick Callahan, I had consumed a few pops, I’ll admit that, and when Nick told me in his great Irish accent “if you give me $6,000, every penny of it goes to drilling a well in arural Uganda village, and teaching sanitation and hygiene to the people of that village“, I told him “that sounds great. That sounds wonderful – and in fact it sounds too wonderful to be true. It’s BS (OK, not an exact quote) . You and I both know that every organization needs has overhead costs, and so this is another African water charity scam. I’ll tell you what, Pal – I’ll give you a check for $6000, but then I’m going to go to Uganda and look for that well, and when I can’t find it, I’m going to come back and put you in jail – for a long time – and close down your charity. What do you think of that?”
Nick looked at me for a second and said “great – when can you go“. Well, I wrote the check, I went to Uganda a couple of months later, visited the village where it had been drilled, and saw that this charity had developed a “ground up” protocol as opposed to a “trickle down” method of using the money to provide clean water to people that desperately need it - one out of five children dies from dirty water in Uganda before their fifth birthday – and Wells of Life does it economically, quickly, verifiably, in a manner that is easily duplicated and which will last for at least several decades. I returned from Africa, retired from the practice of law after 50+ years, and I am now the volunteer president of this organization and I intend to spend the rest of my life dedicated to it and the wonderful work it does.
